Let all the worshipful gods listen to me—both heaven and earth, and the offspring of the waters, to my hymn. May I not speak words that are scattered; may we find fulfillment in your favor, O gods.
Whoever, of great might, whether born of the earth or the sky, dwell in the abode of the waters—may those gods grant us all life and light, and open wide the paths for us.
Agni and Parjanya, support my prayer in this invocation; be easily invoked and well-praised for us. Let one of you generate nourishment, the other offspring; grant us abundant, life-giving riches.
On the spread sacred grass, with Agni kindled, I call with a hymn and great reverence. In this assembly today, O worshipful gods, rejoice in the offering.
O Lord of the Path, like a chariot for the winning of prize, we harness you, O Pūṣan, to our thought.
Lead to us, O noble and generous one, the heroic, skillful, and gracious master of the house.
O compassionate Pūṣan, even if he is not generous, urge him to give; turn the mind of the miser toward liberality.
Clear the paths for the gaining of strength, scatter the foes, strike them down; let our strong thoughts succeed.
Surround the misers with confusion, O wise one, with your power; then make them yield to us.
O Pūṣan, strike the miser with your power, seek out what is dear in his heart; then make him yield to us.
Go forth, stir up, shake the hearts of the misers, O wise one; then make them yield to us.
O radiant Pūṣan, the goad of discipline which you bear, with that, pierce the heart of the miser, stir up, shake him.
O radiant one, your goad, the cattle-driving staff, which brings wealth of cattle—of that we seek your favor.
Grant us, too, wisdom in seeking cattle, and strength in horses and wealth; make us prosperous with men.
Lead us together, Pūṣan, with one who knows, who instructs rightly, who says, 'This is it.'
May we go together with Pūṣan to the house of him who commands, who says, 'This indeed is it.'
The wheel of Pūṣan does not break, nor does his axle fall away; his goad is never worn out.
He who offers to him with oblation, Pūṣan is pleased with him; he is the first to find wealth.
May Pūṣan follow our cattle, may Pūṣan protect our paths, may Pūṣan grant us strength.
O Pūṣan, come after our cattle, for the worshipper who presses the Soma; and for us who praise you as well.
Let no one go astray, let no one be harmed, let no one be left behind on the journey; then come to us with safety.
We seek Pūṣan, who hears, who knows the way, who is lord of wealth.
In your rule, Pūṣan, may we never go astray at any time; we are your praisers here.
Let Pūṣan place his right hand over us from afar; may what was lost return to us again.
Come, O sons of Vimuco, O Napāt Āghṛṇi, let us unite with you; be the charioteer of truth for us.
We seek the most skilled charioteer, the matted-haired lord of great wealth, as a friend for riches.
O Āghṛṇi, stream of wealth, O generous one, heap of riches, bring us wealth, friend of the wise, friend of the wise.
Let us praise Pūṣan, the provider of new horses, the vigorous one; the sun is called the lover.
I spoke to the mother seeking, let the lover, the sun, hear us; Indra's brother is my friend.
The drivers place Pūṣan in the chariot, those who bear the glory of the people; let them carry the god.
