You worship the great gods, you perform the sacred rites with wisdom and power. Draw them near, O Agni, for our help; grant us strength and bring us wealth.
The waters, the stones, and the forests nourish him, the embryo of immortality. He who is kindled with force is born among men, upon the surface of the earth.
He who fills both heaven and earth with his light, who moves with smoke in the sky—he has seen through the darkness with his waves, the tawny bull among the dark ones, the tawny bull among the dark ones.

With wondrous aid, O treasure-giver, inspire us with gifts. Of this wealth, O Agni, you are the charioteer; lead us to abundance, to a secure place.
Carry our children and descendants safely with your faultless and unfailing guides. O Agni, keep away divine anger from us, and also the offenses of the ungodly.
Come, friends, approach the cow with abundant milk, with a new song. Set her free, let her not be restrained.
That fame which you, O Maruts, ever-glorious, bestow upon your troop, that undying glory which belongs to the mighty Maruts, that which is won by noble deeds—
Bestow that upon Bharadvāja, twice over; the cow that yields to all, and the food that nourishes all.
I praise that Indra, wise in counsel, like Varuṇa, skilled in magic; like Aryaman, gracious, a generous giver; like Viṣṇu, I praise him, the leader.
May the mighty troop of the Maruts, fierce and roaring, and Pūṣan, unconquered, come together by hundreds and thousands for the people. Let the hidden treasures appear among the doers of good; may he grant us wealth.
Come to us, Pūṣan, hasten here; listen to my praise, O radiant one. May hostile men, O noble one, not harm us.
Do not, like a crow, tear up the tree, nor bring misfortune, for you are not a destroyer. Nor do the sun or even the necks of birds bear such a burden.
Let your friendship be unwavering, like the sight that never fails; like a full, unbroken vessel, let it remain intact.

You are beyond mortals, equal to the gods in splendor. Shine forth, Pūṣan, in our battles; protect us now as you did before.
May your gracious, gentle impulses lead us on the right path; may the blessings of the god, of the Maruts, and of the mortal who strives, be with us.
Even in a moment, his praise reaches the sky, as the sun, the god, ascends. The Maruts have taken on fierce strength, a name worthy of worship, the greatest power for slaying Vṛtra.
Heaven was born at once, earth was born at once; the milk that Pṛśni gave was yielded at once—no other is born after that.

The two daughters of the ruddy one, of different forms—one adorned herself among the women, the other, the sun, wandered apart. They move together, shining, may my hymn, as it is recited, reach them.
To Vāyu I direct my lofty thought, for abundant wealth, all-desirable, chariot-bearing. With shining steeds, leading the hosts, you, O wise one, approach the wise, worthy of worship.
That wondrous chariot of the Aśvins, adorned with gold, which you yoke with your minds—by which, O men, O Nāsatyas, you travel the path for offspring and for self—may it shelter me.
Parjanya and Vāta, bulls of the earth, fill the waters, the nourishing ones. Truth-hearing sages, by whose hymns you make the moving and the fixed, make the world firm.

On every path, as guardian, with speech, Pūṣan, made by desire, approaches with radiance. May he grant us, with full hands, abundant, shining gifts, and fulfill our thoughts.
The first to receive honor, possessor of glory, giver of strength, the god with fair hands, with beautiful rays—Agni, the priest, let him worship, the adorable one of the dwellings, the radiant, the well-invoked, the shining one.
