This one has supported heaven and earth; this one has yoked the seven-rayed chariot. This one, by skill, has placed the ripe Soma among the cows, and established the tenfold fountain.
He who led Turvasha and Yadu from afar with wise guidance—may Indra, our youthful friend, be with us.
Even for the unskilled, he provides sustenance; even for the swift horse, Indra is the conqueror, granting the desired wealth.

Friends, sing forth to the bearer of prayer, and raise your voices; for he is our great support.

You alone, O slayer of Vṛtra, are the helper of one and of two; may we be such as you are.
You lead the hostile away, you bring down those who speak against the hymn; among men you are called mighty in heroes.
With words I call the friend, the singer, the bearer of prayer, as one calls a cow to milk.
In whose hands all treasures have been placed without division—the hero who conquers in battle.
Even the firm strongholds of peoples, O lord of might, you shatter, O stone-wielder; bring down the unbending tricks.
You, O true one, drinker of Soma, Indra, lord of prizes, we, desiring fame, have called.
Whoever, whether in the past you aided or now in the quest for wealth, is worthy of offering—hear his call.

With prayers and with swift horses, O Indra, bring us glory; with you may we win the sought-for wealth.

You have become, O heroic, song-loving Indra, great in the contest for wealth, the one to be invoked in the struggle.

That aid of yours, O foe-slayer, which is ever ready at hand—by that set our chariot in motion.
With that chariot, most skilled in charioteering, attacking with ours, O victorious one, you win the sought-for wealth.
Praise him alone, the most discerning among peoples, the lord who was born with mighty resolve.
He who has been a good friend to the praisers, bringing help—may you, Indra, show us mercy.
Take up the thunderbolt in your hands, O wielder of the thunderbolt, to slay the demon; be most powerful against the foes.

The ancient companion of riches, the inspirer of praise, the best bearer of prayer, I call.
For he alone, song-loving and unaging, rules over all earthly treasures.
With your troops fill us with desire, with prizes, with horses, with cattle, O bold lord of cattle.
Sing that praise of yours at the pressing of the Soma, for the much-invoked, for the mighty, so that there may be well-being for the cow, as for the one who brings joy.
Indeed, the generous one does not withhold the gift of wealth abounding in cattle, when the songs reach him.
Perhaps he will go forth to the cattle-rich enclosure of the foe; with his powers, may he drive them away from us.
These very hymns, O hundred-powered one, reach out to you; O Indra, as mothers to a calf.
Your friendship, O hero, is sought for the sake of cattle; be a horse for the horse-seeker.
So delight in the Soma, for the sake of wealth and great strength; do not abandon the praiser to poverty.
These very hymns, at every pressing, long for you, O lover of song, as cows for a calf, as milch cows for their young.
The most bountiful of the many, let him make his praisers victorious with prizes.
