Agni reigns among the gods, Agni has entered among mortals; Agni is our bearer of offerings—worship Agni with prayers.
Agni, most renowned, most wise, unconquered, makes the worshipper heard, gives a son as lord to the devotee.
Agni gives a true lord, who prevails in battle with men; Agni gives a swift horse, a victorious, unconquered champion.

Whatever is most excellent, that, O Agni, with great praise, O radiant one, is for you; as a queen, wealth and strength arise from you.
Your radiant hymns are proclaimed like a stone's resounding voice; and your thunderous sound rises of itself to the sky.
Thus, O Agni, eager for wealth, we have praised you, the mighty; may you lead us safely past all foes, O wise one.

The generous lord, never failing, is praised by me; the mighty Asura, most bountiful, is strong with kine; Agni of the three Vrishnis, with ten thousands, the universal, the three-red, is aware.
He who gives me a hundred and twenty cows, and well-yoked, swift steeds, O universal Agni, praised and growing strong—grant protection to Tryaruna.
Thus, Agni, granting your favor to the newest, Trasadasyu, who praises me with many songs, Tryaruna glorifies me with the ancient hymn.
He who says to me, 'For the Ashvamedha, for the lord of the sun,' gives with a hymn a companion for gain, gives wisdom for immortality.
He whose fierce ones, a hundred, urge on the gifts of the Ashvamedha, like Soma-juices, three-headed.
