Grant us, O Indra and Brihaspati, wealth with a hundred cows, with horses, with thousands.
O Indra and Brihaspati, we invoke you with songs at the pressing, for the drinking of this Soma.
Drink the Soma, O Indra and Brihaspati, in the house of the worshipper; rejoice in that dwelling.
He who upheld the heavens with might, Brihaspati, standing on the threefold seat, with his roar; him, the ancient sages, shining, the wise ones, placed in front, with delightful tongue.
Those who are swift, rejoicing, with clear vision, O Brihaspati, who have approached us, let them protect the source of the streaming, unbroken milk; O Brihaspati, guard its origin.
O Brihaspati, those who spoke far and beyond, the seekers of truth have sat near you; for you, the hollow places, the wells, milked from the stone, pour out honey all around, abundant.
Brihaspati, first born, arising in the highest heaven of great light, with seven mouths, well-born, with his roar, with seven rays, scattered the darkness.
With the Stoma, with the Rik, with his company, he broke open Vala, the enclosure, with his roar; Brihaspati, the sacrificer, the caller, loudly called, and the cows rushed forth.
Thus, to the Father, to the All-Gods, to the mighty one, let us offer worship with reverence and oblations; O Brihaspati, may we be blessed with noble offspring, heroic sons, and be masters of riches.
He, the king, stands firm against all adversaries, with strength and valor; whoever supports Brihaspati, well-nourished, praises and honors him, the ancient benefactor.
He dwells happily in his own abode; for him, nourishment flows abundantly from all sources; to him, the clans bow willingly, in whom the priestly power advances foremost among rulers.
Unopposed, he conquers and wins wealth, both from adversaries and from allies; the king who grants passage to the priest, for his assistance, the gods protect.
Indra and Brihaspati, drink the Soma together, delighting in this sacrifice, O mighty ones; let the self-born drops enter you, and grant us wealth, full of all heroes.
Brihaspati and Indra, increase our strength; let your favor be with us; accept our thoughts, seize the wise counsel, and let the foe be shattered, let the hostile ones be subdued.
This, the most excellent light, has arisen before us, dispelling darkness and revealing paths; now, the daughters of heaven, shining, make a way for the people, O Dawns.
The splendid Dawns have appeared in front, like measured voices in rituals; they open the two gates of darkness, shining, pure, and radiant.
Rising, today the Dawns distribute gifts, generous, bestowing wealth; let the unremarkable ones remain among the darkness, while the awakened ones move forth.
Who among you, O goddesses, is new or ancient? Which of you, O Dawns, has come today? By whom did the Angiras, with nine and ten cows, and the seven-mouthed one, gain riches?
For you, O goddesses, with horses yoked in truth, swiftly traverse all worlds; awakening, O Dawns, the living, both two-footed and four-footed, for the chariot.
Where are those ancient ones, which among them, by what actions did the Ribhus accomplish their tasks? The Dawns, bright and shining, move in beauty, yet their forms are not known, nor are they alike or subject to decay.
Those indeed, those auspicious Dawns of old, are fragrant, glorious, born of truth and reality; in whom the singer, praising with hymns, quickly attains abundant wealth.
They move together, united from the front, united in purpose, spreading together; the goddesses of truth, awakening from their seat, like the streams of cows, the Dawns stir forth.
They, like waves, move together, united in color, the Dawns advance; hiding the darkness with their bright bodies, pure, radiant, shining with their forms.
O shining daughters of heaven, grant us wealth, full of offspring; may you, awakening from your pleasant abode, make us lords of noble strength.
This, O shining daughters of heaven, I address to you, O Dawns, the sign of sacrifice; may we be renowned among people, and may heaven and earth, the goddesses, grant this.
She, the radiant daughter, rises, awakening her sister; the daughter of heaven is seen.
Like a variegated, red mare among horses, the mother of cows, rich in milk, became a friend to the Ashvins, O Ushas.
You are indeed the friend of the Ashvins, you are the mother of cows; you, O Ushas, are the mistress of wealth.
You, wise one, who keeps away hatred, who is the bestower of fair speech, we have approached with songs of praise.
The auspicious rays have appeared, like streams of cows; O Ushas, you have opened wide a broad space for living.
