वामंवामं त आदुरे देवो ददात्वर्यमा । वामं पूषा वामं भगो वामं देवः करूळती
May the god Aryaman give you favor upon favor from afar; may Pūṣan grant favor, may Bhaga grant favor, may the gracious god grant favor.
कया नश्चित्र आ भुवदूती सदावृधः सखा । कया शचिष्ठया वृता
By what wondrous means has he become our ever-strengthening friend and messenger? By what most powerful help protected?
कस्त्वा सत्यो मदानां मंहिष्ठो मत्सदन्धसः । दृळ्हा चिदारुजे वसु
Who among your true delights, O Indra, is the greatest, who rejoices in the Soma? You have broken even the firm ones, O giver of wealth.
अभी षु णः सखीनामविता जरितॄणाम् । शतं भवास्यूतिभिः
Be for us the protector of friends, of the singers; may you be a hundredfold with your aids.
अभी न आ ववृत्स्व चक्रं न वृत्तमर्वतः । नियुद्भिश्चर्षणीनाम्
Come to us, as a wheel to the axle of a chariot, O Indra, with the bands of the peoples.
प्रवता हि क्रतूनामा हा पदेव गच्छसि । अभक्षि सूर्ये सचा
For you advance at the forefront of intentions, as if going to a contest; you have partaken together with the sun.
सं यत्त इन्द्र मन्यवः सं चक्राणि दधन्विरे । अध त्वे अध सूर्ये
When your powers, O Indra, have united, when your deeds have been set together, then it is in you, then in the sun.
उत स्मा हि त्वामाहुरिन्मघवानं शचीपते । दातारमविदीधयुम्
Indeed, they call you, O Maghavan, lord of might, the generous giver to the seeker.
उत स्मा सद्य इत्परि शशमानाय सुन्वते । पुरू चिन्मंहसे वसु
Indeed, even today, for the one who praises and presses Soma, you bestow much wealth.
नहि ष्मा ते शतं चन राधो वरन्त आमुरः । न च्यौत्नानि करिष्यतः
Never, not even once, do the distant ones attain your bounty; nor those who act with deceit.
अस्माँ अवन्तु ते शतमस्मान्सहस्रमूतयः । अस्मान्विश्वा अभिष्टयः
May a hundred, may a thousand of your aids protect us; may all desired blessings be ours.
अस्माँ इहा वृणीष्व सख्याय स्वस्तये । महो राये दिवित्मते
Choose us here for friendship and well-being, for great wealth shining in the sky.
अस्माँ अविड्ढि विश्वहेन्द्र राया परीणसा । अस्मान्विश्वाभिरूतिभिः
Grant us, O Indra, all-encompassing wealth; protect us with all your aids.
अस्मभ्यं ताँ अपा वृधि व्रजाँ अस्तेव गोमतः । नवाभिरिन्द्रोतिभिः
Grant us those herds, as you did the cattle-stalls, O Indra, with your new aids.
अस्माकं धृष्णुया रथो द्युमाँ इन्द्रानपच्युतः । गव्युरश्वयुरीयते
May our strong chariot, O Indra, never failing, shining, rich in cows and horses, advance.
अस्माकमुत्तमं कृधि श्रवो देवेषु सूर्य । वर्षिष्ठं द्यामिवोपरि
Make our fame highest among the gods, O Sun, most abundant, like the sky above.
आ तू न इन्द्र वृत्रहन्नस्माकमर्धमा गहि । महान्महीभिरूतिभिः
Come to us, O Indra, slayer of Vṛtra, approach our portion with your great and mighty aids.
भृमिश्चिद्घासि तूतुजिरा चित्र चित्रिणीष्वा । चित्रं कृणोष्यूतये
You are indeed a stirrer of men, ever impelling, wondrous among the wondrous; you create marvels for help.
दभ्रेभिश्चिच्छशीयांसं हंसि व्राधन्तमोजसा । सखिभिर्ये त्वे सचा
Even one who is weak and diminished, you strike down the arrogant with your might, together with your companions.
वयमिन्द्र त्वे सचा वयं त्वाभि नोनुमः । अस्माँअस्माँ इदुदव
We, O Indra, are with you; we praise you; for us, for us alone, come here.
स नश्चित्राभिरद्रिवोऽनवद्याभिरूतिभिः । अनाधृष्टाभिरा गहि
With your wondrous, flawless, and invincible aids, O stone-armed one, come to us.
भूयामो षु त्वावतः सखाय इन्द्र गोमतः । युजो वाजाय घृष्वये
May we be friends of you, the bounteous Indra, possessing cattle, yoked for prize-winning, eager for contest.
त्वं ह्येक ईशिष इन्द्र वाजस्य गोमतः । स नो यन्धि महीमिषम्
For you alone, Indra, are the lord of the prize rich in cattle; grant us great sustenance.
न त्वा वरन्ते अन्यथा यद्दित्ससि स्तुतो मघम् । स्तोतृभ्य इन्द्र गिर्वणः
No one turns you away when, praised, you wish to give wealth, O Indra, singer-loving.
अभि त्वा गोतमा गिरानूषत प्र दावने । इन्द्र वाजाय घृष्वये
To you the Gotamas have raised their songs, O Indra, for the eager prize-winning.
प्र ते वोचाम वीर्या या मन्दसान आरुजः । पुरो दासीरभीत्य
Let us proclaim your heroic deeds, which, delighting in the Soma, you performed, breaking the forts of the Dasyus.
ता ते गृणन्ति वेधसो यानि चकर्थ पौंस्या । सुतेष्विन्द्र गिर्वणः
Those mighty acts of yours, O wise one, which you have done, O Indra, singer-loving, are praised at the pressings.
अवीवृधन्त गोतमा इन्द्र त्वे स्तोमवाहसः । ऐषु धा वीरवद्यशः
The Gotamas, with their songs, have increased you, Indra; in them place glory rich in heroes.
यच्चिद्धि शश्वतामसीन्द्र साधारणस्त्वम् । तं त्वा वयं हवामहे
For you, Indra, are ever the common helper of all; you are the one whom we invoke.
अर्वाचीनो वसो भवास्मे सु मत्स्वान्धसः । सोमानामिन्द्र सोमपाः
Be present, O treasure-giver, for us; rejoice in the Soma, O Indra, drinker of Soma.
