Dawn, the generous one, comes searching like a wife for her husband, mistress of the morning; shining, fortunate, with bright rays, she has spread from the farthest heaven to the earth.

These praises of ours, considering you youthful, have become not to be rejected; where now, O Indra and Varuna, is your glory, by which you bring the enemy to your friends?
This one, most abundant and ever-renewing, calls upon you for help; together, O Indra and Varuna, with the Maruts, hear my invocation by day and by night.

Soma, increasing our lifespan and overcoming adversaries, has taken his seat in the assembly.
Mitra and Varuna, pour upon us the clarified butter, bestowing the pasture, O wise ones, with honeyed realms.
