Come, Indra, with your delightful bays, whose manes are like peacock feathers. Let no one restrain you, as a snare does not hold the swift; come as an arrow flies beyond.
Destroyer of Vṛtra, breaker of the enclosure, opener of the strongholds, born of the waters, you are the charioteer of the two bays, the one who approaches; Indra, you break even the firm.
Deep as the oceans, you possess wisdom, like cows their pasture. Well-guarded, the cows seek the grass, as channels flow to the lake.
Bring to us abundant wealth, which none can rival. Shake down, Indra, the ripe fruit from the tree, as one shakes down the harvest, O bringer of riches.
Self-powered, Indra, you are radiant; your guidance is self-chosen, your fame surpasses all. Thus grown in strength, much-praised, become for us the most renowned.
Of you, the mighty, youthful, and ancient Bull, the self-ruler, the fierce one, the unaging, the wielder of the thunderbolt—Indra—great indeed are the renowned deeds, the mighty deeds of the great one.
You are great, O Buffalo, with your manly powers, seeker of wealth, fierce, prevailing over others; you alone are king of all the world—by battle and by dwelling you govern the peoples.
By measure you have expanded, shining forth; with the gods, you are unsurpassed on every side. By your might, Indra, you have stretched out the sky and earth, and from the vast midspace you have drawn forth strength.
Wide, deep, mighty by birth, fierce, all-illuminating, a protector of thoughts—Indra, the pressed Somas, like rivers, flow to you in the highest heaven.
That Soma, O Indra, which earth and heaven, like a mother, bear for you as an embryo—this the priests pour out for you, this they cleanse for you, O Bull, for you to drink.
With the Maruts, O Indra, Bull for battle, drink the Soma for exhilaration as men do. Pour the wave of honey into your belly; you are king of the pressed offerings in the highest heaven.
Together with the Maruts, with your troop, O Indra, drink the Soma, slayer of Vṛtra, heroic and wise. Strike down the foes, drive away the hostilities, and thus make us fearless on every side.
With the seasons, O Indra, guardian of order, drink the Soma with the gods, your friends, pressed for us. Those Maruts who aided you, who carried you, who gave you strength for slaying Vṛtra.
Those who, O generous one, increased you in the slaying of Ahi, in the Shambara, O charioteer, in the desire for cows; those priests who now honor you—drink Soma, Indra, with the Maruts as your troop.
Him with the Maruts, the Bull, ever-growing, the cloud-cutter, the divine ruler, Indra, mighty for all help, for new aid, fierce, strong companion—here let us invoke.
Straightaway, newly born, the Bull, the young one, longed to partake of the pressed Soma. Drink, O noble one, as you desire, as you first drank the heady juice of Soma.
When you were born, on that very day, at your will, you drank the sweet essence of the portion on the mountain. Your mother, the woman, your begetter, poured it for you at the house of your great father in the beginning.
Approaching his mother, he sought food; he saw the sharp Soma pressed out. Driving away the others, the wise one moved about; he accomplished great deeds, manifold in form.
Fierce, strong, irresistible in might, he shaped his body as he wished. Indra, surpassing Tvaṣṭṛ by birth, drank the Soma in the companies there.
May we call upon generous Indra in this contest, the foremost among men, for the prize. May the fierce one, listening to our call for help in battles, slaying the Vṛtras, the winner of wealth, come.
I will praise great Indra, in whom all peoples, drinkers of Soma, find satisfaction as they desire; whom, wise in counsel, the gods, with Dhiṣaṇā, the all-skilled, made the smiter of Vṛtras.
Whom no one in battles, the self-ruler, surpasses or equals, the foremost among men, the best charioteer; who, most powerful, with his strengths, has destroyed the long-lived life of the Dasyu with his might.
Mighty in contests, swift in battles, never failing, he has split the two worlds, abounding in power. Like Bhaga at the sacrifice, worthy of invocation among thoughts, like a father, gracious, easily invoked, bestower of life.
The upholder of heaven, untouched by dust, rises high like a chariot driven by the wind, accompanied by treasures; the dweller of the nights, the begetter of the sun, the divider of the portion, like the inspired one who apportions the prize.

Let Indra, with the Maruts, come and drink the Soma offered with svāhā, the powerful bull; may he, of wide renown, be filled with these offerings and, pleased, fulfill the desires of our bodies.
For your speed I yoke the worship, so that we may attain your favor from the highest heaven; here let your bay steeds bring you, O fair-jawed one, drink of this well-pressed, delightful Soma.
With cattle they have established you, Indra, as the one who crosses well, for supremacy, for you who are praised; having drunk the exhilarating Soma, grant us, in many ways, the cows to be desired.
With cattle and horses, with shining wealth, fulfill this desire and spread it forth; the inspired Kuśikas, with their hymns, have fashioned the praise for you, Indra, bringer of light.
May we call upon generous Indra, the best among men, in this contest for the prize; the mighty one who hears our call for help in battles, who strikes down the foes and is victorious in wealth.
