That chariot of yours, today we invoke with hymns, O Ashvins, for new prosperity; with unbroken wheels, traversing the sky, may we know this people, long-lived.
What is the most beloved among riches, when you, O sacrificers, raise up the waters? This sacrifice has made your praise, O protectors, the wealth-givers and guardians of people.
Your horses, pure and rich in milk, swift as the wind, divine and strong-backed, eager in mind, royal, O Ashvins, bring you here.
Your chariot, like a river, never stops, with strong yoke, is fit for prosperity; the mighty, standing, swifter than thought, foremost among the worshipful, is yours.
Born here, you have assembled, flawless in body and in your own names; one of you is victorious, the wise of good fortune, the other, blessed, is the son of heaven.
Your cows have lowed, the brown ones, following the path, with dappled forms, reaching the dwellings; the horses of one are filled with strength, O Ashvins, and the chariot resounds through the realms.
Your bull, like autumn, moves forth, distributing ancient gifts, seeking honey; thus, the horses of the other are filled with strength, and the rivers, upright, have come.
The ancient poet has sent forth your song, O Ashvins, threefold, flowing; you have helped the one who praises, not abandoning him, and you hear my call as you journey.
Indeed, your shining forms are praised with song, on the sacred grass in the assembly of men; your bull-cloud, strong, has filled with strength, and the milk of the cow delights the people.
O Aśvins, as Pūṣan, the wise woman, does not grow old, so your worshipper, full of offerings, calls on you; when I, praising, invoke you for help, may I know this people, long-lived and flourishing.
Now this skill has arisen; let your strong chariot be adorned, let the wise rejoice; O divine helpers, inspirers of thought, givers of wealth, sons of heaven, of pure vows, of good deeds.
For you, O divine helpers, are most like Indra, most like the Maruts, wondrous, most powerful, best charioteers; you bear the full chariot filled with honey, and with it, O Aśvins, you come to the worshipper.
What, O wondrous ones, do you do here? What do you seek? Whoever among men is to be honored today; cross over, heal, restore life to the fallen, bring light to the sage for his utterance.
Drive away the howling, greedy wolf, strike down the foes, O Aśvins, at the contest; make each singer’s speech rich in gifts, O Nāsatyas, grant both my praise and protection.
You made that boat among the rivers, self-moving, winged, for Tugra’s son; by which, with your divine mind, you carried him, swift-flying, over the mighty floods.
Tugra’s son, cast down among the waters, in the darkness, at the place without support, four boats, favored by the child in the womb, guided by the Aśvins, carry him across.
What tree stands fixed in the midst of the waters, which Tugra’s son, seeking refuge, embraced? Like the branches of a beast’s falling leaf, O Aśvins, you carried him for hearing.
May that help of yours, O men, O Nāsatyas, always be near, whatever your measure has declared; from this seat of Soma today, may I know this people, long-lived and flourishing.
Harness that which is swifter than the mind, three-yoked, strong, three-wheeled; by which you come to the well-doer’s home, flying with triple speed like birds with wings.
When your well-fitted chariot stands at the navel of the earth, when you, wise ones, follow the path of power; may this song, full of beauty, join you, O daughters of heaven, O dawns, may you be united.
Stand on your well-fitted chariot, which, full of offerings, moves according to your vows; by which, O men, O Nāsatyas, you seek the path, you come for offspring and for yourselves.
May neither wolf nor she-wolf assail you, may you not turn aside nor be harmed; this share is set apart for you, this song, O wondrous ones, and here are your treasures of honey.
You, whom Gotama, the much-praising, and Atri, O wondrous ones, call for help with offerings; like a guide who leads straight to the goal, come, O Nāsatyas, to my invocation.
We have crossed beyond the farthest darkness; to you, O Aśvins, this praise has been offered; come here by the paths of the gods, that I may know this people, long-lived and flourishing.
Those, today and hereafter, I invoke for you, as the fire is kindled at the coming of dawn with hymns; O Nāsatyas, wherever you may be, sons of heaven, best givers of gifts.
May you, O strong ones, gladden us here; drive away the greedy, delighting in the wave; hear my words with your ears, O men, desired and knowing, with understanding.
For beauty, O Pūṣan, as a craftsman for the gods, O Nāsatyas, may you bear the chariot of Sūryā; your praises are spoken, born in the waters, your yokes, like Varuṇa’s fetters, are well joined.
May that sweet favor of yours be with us; accept the hymn of praise from the worthy singer. As your fame spreads, O generous ones, the peoples rejoice for heroic strength.
This hymn has been composed for you, Ashvins, with honor, O bountiful ones, with splendid praise. Come along the path for the son and for the self; delight, O Nasatyas, in Agastya's words.
We have crossed beyond the darkness; for you, Ashvins, this hymn has been set forth. Come here by the divine paths; may we find this people, long-living and vigorous.
