You, O Vāyu, among all these, are the first to deserve the draught of Soma, the first to deserve the draught of the pressed ones. And among the swiftly-moving hosts, among the chosen peoples, all the cows yield you rich butter, they yield rich butter.

Come to our spread seat for refreshment, with a thousand teams, with teams, with hundreds of teams. For to you, for the first draught, the gods have yoked themselves, O god. The pressed, honey-sweet draughts have been set for your delight, for your power.

For you this Soma, well-purified by the stones, adorned with splendor, flows into the vessel, shining, adorned, it flows. For you this share in life, Soma, is invoked among the gods. Bring, O Vāyu, the teams, come here gladly, come here gladly.

Come to us with your hundreds of teams, with thousands, to the sacrifice, O Vāyu, to the offerings, to the sacrifice. For you this share, O officiant, the radiant one, together with the sun. The priests, bearing, have driven the bright ones, O Vāyu, have driven the bright ones.
Your chariot, O Vāyu, yoked with teams, comes for help, for the well-prepared offerings, for the feast, O Vāyu, for the offerings, for the feast. Drink the honeyed Soma, for the first draught is set for you. O Vāyu, come with shining bounty, come with Indra, with bounty.
To you two, our thoughts have turned at the sacrifice; here they have purified this Soma, the swift one, like a spirited horse. Of these, drink for our delight; come to us here at this rite. Indra and Vāyu, with the pressing stones, you both give strength, you both give the prize.
These Somas for you two have been pressed in the waters, being borne by the priests; O Vāyu, the bright ones have been brought forth. These, eager, have flowed through the filter. Your youthful Somas, ever-renewed, pass beyond the wool, Somas ever-renewed.

Go beyond, O Vāyu, to the ever-flowing, where the stone speaks constantly; there, Indra, go to the house. The gracious speech is seen, the clarified butter is poured out, the full troop advances to the rite; Indra, you both advance to the rite.
Here, indeed, you two accept this sweet offering; your sons attend the sacred fig tree—may sons be ours. Together the cows are milked, the barley is cooked; for you, O Vāyu, the cows come up, the cows come up to you.
These, O Vāyu, your strong-armed, mighty ones, the bulls, fly within the rivers, the bulls grow great. Even in the desert, tireless, even old, dwelling on the mountain, like the rays of the sun, hard to restrain, hard to restrain by the hands.
Now, with reverence, let us bring the highest, the ancient, the great praise, the offering, the prayer to the gracious two, the most delightful to the gracious two. Those two sovereigns, rich in ghee, worthy of sacrifice, praised at the rite—no one can overcome their power, not from anywhere; even now, no one can overcome their divinity.
The broad path has been seen, the most spacious way, the path of truth, which they measured with the rays, with the rays of Bhaga's vision. The shining seat of Mitra, of Aryaman, and of Varuṇa. Then they establish the great hymn, the praise, the great strength to be praised.
They uphold the radiant, immortal Aditi, the earth full of light; they watch, day by day, ever wakeful, day by day. The Ādityas, lords of gifts, possess the radiant power; Mitra and Varuṇa guide the people, Aryaman guides the people.
May this Soma, most pleasant in the libations, be auspicious for Mitra and Varuṇa, the god without misfortune among the gods. May all the gods together enjoy him today. So may you two kings act, as we desire, in accordance with truth, as we desire.

Whoever, among men, worships Mitra and Varuṇa, let him, blameless, be protected from harm, the worshipper, the mortal from harm. Aryaman guards him, following the straight path, according to the law. With hymns he adorns their ordinance, with praises he adorns their ordinance.

Homage to the great heaven, to the two worlds; I will speak to Mitra, to Varuṇa, the gracious, the most gracious. Praise Indra and Agni, the shining Aryaman, Bhaga. May we live long with offspring, may we be united with the help of Soma.
With the aid of the gods, may we, endowed with Indra's might, be glorious with the Maruts. May Agni, Mitra, Varuṇa grant us shelter; may we, O generous ones, and our offspring, attain it.

Gladly come with the stones, you who seek the cows; these Somas are eager, these Somas are eager. O kings, reaching to the sky, come to us, come near. These bright Somas with the cow's milk are for you, Mitra and Varuṇa, bright Somas with the cow's milk.

These drops, the Somas, pressed with curd, are coming to you; pressed with curd. And the dawns awaken you together with the rays of the sun. The pressed Soma is for Mitra and Varuṇa to drink, lovely, for the righteous to drink.

That cow, as it were, your morning draught, they milk with the stones, they milk Soma with the stones. Come to us, come near, for the drinking of Soma. This pressed Soma, O Mitra and Varuṇa, is for you to drink, pressed by men.

The greatness of Pūṣan, nobly born, is proclaimed; his might does not fail, his praise does not fail. I sing, seeking his favor, his help, the bringer of happiness, who has turned the thoughts of all, the god who has turned the thoughts of all.

I call you, Pūṣan, swift as a chariot, with praises; make us pass safely as the camel passes through difficulties. When I call you, bringer of happiness, god, as a friend, O mortal, make our songs glorious in contests, make them glorious in contests.

In whose friendship, O Pūṣan, the wise, by their will, have found support, by their will they have found support. To that ever-fresh company of yours for wealth we call. Be gracious, far-seeing one, be our companion in every contest, be our companion in every contest.

O Ajāśva, we approach you for favor, eager for your renowned gifts; with excellent hymns we praise you, O mighty one. O Pūṣan, I do not disregard you, nor deny your friendship, O radiant one.

Let it be heard: we place Agni at the forefront with our thought; now we choose that divine protection, we choose Indra and Vāyu. When you two move at the navel of the dawn, granting new gifts, then let our prayers come forth to the gods, let our prayers reach the gods.

When you, Mitra and Varuṇa, act according to your will, restraining falsehood with your own anger, with your own wisdom, then in your abode we behold the golden radiance, with our thoughts and minds, with our own senses, with the senses of Soma.

To you two, Ashvins, the worshippers raise hymns, as if proclaiming your praise; to you two, offerings are brought. All your splendors and riches, O all-knowing ones, are spread forth; your golden horses sprinkle you with dew, O wondrous ones, in your golden chariot.

You two, wondrous ones, traverse the sky swiftly; your chariot-yoked horses are harnessed among the heavenly paths. Upon your golden chariot, O wondrous ones, you stand in the seat; like travelers guided along the road, you move swiftly, guiding the path.

O mighty Indra, with strong hands, these Soma juices, pressed from the stones and bursting forth, are for you, pressed and bursting forth. Let them delight you for the burning, for the splendid reward. Come, praised with songs, O singer, come kindly to us.
