Those that are of one form, of many forms, or of a single form, whose names Agni knows through sacrifice, those whom the Angirases made for ascetic heat—to them, O Parjanya, grant great protection.
Those who have produced their bodies among the gods, whose every form Soma knows—to those, swelling with milk, rich in offspring, O Indra, grant increase in the cattle-pen.
The Lord of Progeny has given these to me, in agreement with all the gods and ancestors; being auspicious, may they come to our cattle-pen—may we dwell together with offspring among them.
Let the shining, mighty one drink the honeyed soma, granting long life, delighting the lord of sacrifice; driven by the wind, he protects by his own nature, nourishes the people, and shines in many ways.
The shining, mighty one, well-nourished, best giver of strength, established in the law, set firm in the seat of heaven; slayer of enemies, slayer of Vritra, destroyer of demons, light is born—slayer of Asuras and rivals.
This is the highest of lights, the supreme radiance, called the all-conquering, wealth-conquering, great one. The Sun, mighty in brilliance, spreads wide before the eyes, unfailing in strength and power.
Shining forth with light, go to the realm of heaven, the luminous expanse of the sky, by which all these worlds are upheld, by the all-working one, with the support of all the gods.
You, Indra, have guided that chariot from the assembly, filled with Soma; you have heard the call of the Soma-presser.
You have taken the head of the sacrifice, the skin as well; you have entered the house of the Soma-presser.
You, Indra, have often released that mortal, the Vena, from the bonds of the foe, for the sake of the one who thinks of you.
You, Indra, bring the Sun, though it is behind, to the front; you alone direct the will of the gods.
Come here with the forest, with strength; let the cows join the path with their calves.
Come here with noble thought, O most bountiful one, the generous sacrificer, with those who give abundantly.
Like those who support their fathers, O generous ones, we stretch the thread; we sacrifice in worship.
Dawn, the best of sisters, turns the path together, with her noble birth.
Come here, enter within; stand firm, unmoving. May all the people desire you; may your rule not fall away.
Stay here, do not depart; stand firm like a mountain, unmoving. Like Indra, stand firm here; uphold the kingdom here.
Indra has established this, the firm one, with firm oblation; for him Soma declared, for him also Brahmanaspati.
Firm is the sky, firm the earth, firm are these mountains; firm is this whole world, firm is the king over the people.
Firm for you is King Varuna, firm is the god Brihaspati; may Indra and Agni together uphold the kingdom firmly.
With firm oblation we touch Soma; and then, O Indra, you make all the tribes subject, taking their tribute.
With the victorious oblation by which Indra was victorious, with that, O Brahmanaspati, turn towards us for the kingdom.
Having overcome our rivals and all our enemies, stand firm against the one who opposes us, against whoever attacks us.
May the god Savitar, may Soma, encompass you; may all beings surround you, as you desire.
By whose oblation Indra became most glorious and exalted; by this the gods made me without rival, indeed I have become so.
Without rival, destroyer of rivals, with a strong realm, conquering foes; so may I be eminent among these beings and among the people.
Let the god Savitar bless you, O pressing stones, with righteousness; be yoked to the yokes, press forth.
O pressing stones, drive away evil speech, drive away evil thought; bring forth the healing light.
The pressing stones, united, are exalted on the upper altars; they place strength for the strong one.
May the god Savitar now bless you, O pressing stones, with righteousness, for the sacrificer who presses the Soma.
