वाय उक्थेभिर्जरन्ते त्वामच्छा जरितारः । सुतसोमा अहर्विदः
Vayu, the singers, knowing the day, approach you with hymns, having pressed the Soma.
वायो तव प्रपृञ्चती धेना जिगाति दाशुषे । उरूची सोमपीतये
Vayu, your generous cow comes to the worshipper, wide-flowing for the drinking of Soma.
इन्द्रवायू इमे सुता उप प्रयोभिरा गतम् । इन्दवो वामुशन्ति हि
Indra and Vayu, these pressed libations are for you; come together with your powers, for the drops call you.
वायविन्द्रश्च चेतथः सुतानां वाजिनीवसू । तावा यातमुप द्रवत्
Vayu and Indra, you discern the pressed offerings, rich in horses and wealth; come swiftly here.
वायविन्द्रश्च सुन्वत आ यातमुप निष्कृतम् । मक्ष्वित्था धिया नरा
Vayu and Indra, come to the one who presses Soma, to the prepared offering; thus, O men, with thought.
मित्रं हुवे पूतदक्षं वरुणं च रिशादसम् । धियं घृताचीं साधन्ता
I invoke Mitra, pure in skill, and Varuna, the remover of sin, who establish the shining insight.
ऋतेन मित्रावरुणावृतावृधावृतस्पृशा । क्रतुं बृहन्तमाशाथे
By truth, Mitra and Varuna, mighty by truth, have attained vast power.
कवी नो मित्रावरुणा तुविजाता उरुक्षया । दक्षं दधाते अपसम्
Mitra and Varuna, wise and of noble birth, dwelling in spacious abodes, grant us skill and remove our sin.
अश्विना यज्वरीरिषो द्रवत्पाणी शुभस्पती । पुरुभुजा चनस्यतम्
O Ashvins, bearers of offerings, swift-handed, lords of beauty, you who enjoy much, be pleased with us.
अश्विना पुरुदंससा नरा शवीरया धिया । धिष्ण्या वनतं गिरः
O Ashvins, mighty ones, with abundant deeds, with strength and wisdom, you who are enthroned, accept our songs.
दस्रा युवाकवः सुता नासत्या वृक्तबर्हिषः । आ यातं रुद्रवर्तनी
O wondrous, youthful, and true Ashvins, with pressed Soma and strewn grass, come along the Rudra-paths.
इन्द्रा याहि चित्रभानो सुता इमे त्वायवः । अण्वीभिस्तना पूतासः
O Indra, come, radiant one; these pressed libations are for you, purified with gentle hands.
इन्द्रा याहि धियेषितो विप्रजूतः सुतावतः । उप ब्रह्माणि वाघतः
O Indra, come, inspired by prayer, summoned by the wise, to the Soma-offering, to the hymns of the worshippers.
इन्द्रा याहि तूतुजान उप ब्रह्माणि हरिवः । सुते दधिष्व नश्चनः
O Indra, come, eager, to the hymns, O golden one; at the pressing, accept our offering.
ओमासश्चर्षणीधृतो विश्वे देवास आ गत । दाश्वांसो दाशुषः सुतम्
O sustaining gods of the people, all you gods, come; accept the pressed Soma from the worshipper.
विश्वे देवासो अप्तुरः सुतमा गन्त तूर्णयः । उस्रा इव स्वसराणि
All you gods, guardians, come swiftly to the pressed Soma, like dawns to their sisters.
विश्वे देवासो अस्रिध एहिमायासो अद्रुहः । मेधं जुषन्त वह्नयः
All you gods, unerring, come here, free from deceit; may the flames accept the offering.
पावका नः सरस्वती वाजेभिर्वाजिनीवती । यज्ञं वष्टु धियावसुः
Radiant Sarasvati, rich in horses and strength, may she, wise in thought, bless our sacrifice.
चोदयित्री सूनृतानां चेतन्ती सुमतीनाम् । यज्ञं दधे सरस्वती
Sarasvati, inspirer of good speech, perceiver of noble thoughts, has established the sacrifice.
महो अर्णः सरस्वती प्र चेतयति केतुना । धियो विश्वा वि राजति
Great river Sarasvati, with her banner, awakens; she shines forth in all thoughts.
सुरूपकृत्नुमूतये सुदुघामिव गोदुहे । जुहूमसि द्यविद्यवि
For the purpose of worship, we offer to the one who shapes beauty, as one milks a cow rich in milk, in heaven and earth.
उप नः सवना गहि सोमस्य सोमपाः पिब । गोदा इद्रेवतो मदः
Come to our Soma-pressings, drink the Soma, O Soma-drinker; the joy is yours, O god, as is the delight.
अथा ते अन्तमानां विद्याम सुमतीनाम् । मा नो अति ख्य आ गहि
Then may we know the limit of your favor; do not pass us by, come to us.
परेहि विग्रमस्तृतमिन्द्रं पृच्छा विपश्चितम् । यस्ते सखिभ्य आ वरम्
Go beyond the stretched-out contest, ask Indra, the wise one, for the best gift for your companions.
उत ब्रुवन्तु नो निदो निरन्यतश्चिदारत । दधाना इन्द्र इद्दुवः
Let our enemies speak of us, let them depart elsewhere; Indra, grant us your favor.
उत नः सुभगाँ अरिर्वोचेयुर्दस्म कृष्टयः । स्यामेदिन्द्रस्य शर्मणि
Let the blessed ones speak well of us, O wondrous peoples; may we be in Indra's protection.
एमाशुमाशवे भर यज्ञश्रियं नृमादनम् । पतयन्मन्दयत्सखम्
Bring here for the swift one the glory of the sacrifice, the delight of men, as he descends, the companion who brings joy.
अस्य पीत्वा शतक्रतो घनो वृत्राणामभवः । प्रावो वाजेषु वाजिनम्
Having drunk this, O wielder of a hundred powers, you became the slayer of the foes; you led the strong one in contests.
तं त्वा वाजेषु वाजिनं वाजयामः शतक्रतो । धनानामिन्द्र सातये
We urge you, O wielder of a hundred powers, as the champion in contests, for the attainment of wealth, O Indra.
यो रायोऽवनिर्महान्सुपारः सुन्वतः सखा । तस्मा इन्द्राय गायत
He who is the great protector of riches, the excellent friend of the one who presses, for him, sing to Indra.
