May Aryaman, the gracious god, look upon you with favor from afar, and may Pūṣan and Bhaga also grant their blessings, each bestowing their grace upon you. May all the gods, in their kindness, shower you with favor upon favor. We marvel at the wondrous ways by which the divine friend and messenger has become a source of ever-increasing strength for us. What powerful protection stands behind him? O Indra, among all your true delights, which is the greatest—who among them rejoices most in the Soma? You, the bestower of wealth, have shattered even the strongest obstacles. Be our protector, Indra—watch over your friends and the singers who praise you. May your support come to us a hundredfold. Draw near to us as the wheel fits the axle of a chariot, O Indra, bringing with you the bands of your people. You lead at the forefront of all intentions, advancing like a champion to a contest, and you have shared in the journey with the sun. When your powers unite and your deeds are set together, then your essence is found in yourself and in the sun as well. O Maghavan, lord of might, you are renowned as the generous giver to those who seek you. Even today, for the one who praises you and presses the Soma, you grant great wealth. Those who are distant or deceitful never attain your bounty—not even once. May hundreds and thousands of your aids protect us, and may all the blessings we desire be ours. Choose us here for your friendship and well-being, and for the radiant wealth that shines in the heavens. Grant us all-encompassing wealth, O Indra, and shield us with all your powers. Bestow upon us those herds, as you did with the cattle-stalls before, with your newly-given aids. May our strong and ever-shining chariot, rich in cows and horses, never fail, but always advance. O Sun, make our fame the highest among the gods, abundant as the sky above. Come to us, Indra, slayer of Vṛtra, and approach our share with your great and mighty aids. You stir men to action, always impelling, wondrous among the wondrous, creating marvels for our help. Even the weak and diminished find strength in you, for you strike down the arrogant with your might, together with your companions. We are with you, Indra, and we praise you—come here for us, for us alone. With your flawless and invincible aids, O stone-armed one, come to our side. May we be your friends, O bounteous Indra, possessing cattle, yoked for victory, eager for the contest. For you alone, Indra, are the lord of the prize rich in cattle; grant us great sustenance. No one turns you away when, being praised, you wish to bestow wealth, O Indra who delights in singers. The Gotamas have raised their songs for you, Indra, eager for the prize. Let us proclaim your heroic deeds, which, delighting in the Soma, you performed—breaking the forts of the Dasyus. Your mighty acts, O wise one, are celebrated at the pressings, O Indra, lover of song. The Gotamas have increased your glory with their hymns; in them, place renown rich in heroes. You, Indra, are ever the common helper of all; you are the one we invoke. Be present for us, O treasure-giver—rejoice in the Soma, O Indra, drinker of the sacred juice. May our hymn bring you to our thoughts; turn your bay steeds hither. Delight in our sacrificial food and our songs, as a bridegroom delights in maidens. We call upon you, Indra, for a thousand well-yoked chariots and a hundred jars of Soma. Thousands and hundreds of cows, O Indra, may we bring to you; may your favor descend upon us. We have taken up ten of your golden vessels; you are a generous giver, O slayer of Vṛtra. Give us much, O generous one—do not give little, but bring us abundance, for you always give in plenty. You are famed as a generous giver in many places, O heroic slayer of Vṛtra; grant us a share in your bounty. To you, the tawny one, wise and discerning, I proclaim praise, O descendant of the seeker of cows; do not abandon the cows for the two of us. Like a young girl in new attire, like a child in fresh garments, the tawny ones shine among the teams. May it be well with the cattle-station and with its followers; the tawny ones, ever-flowing, are in the teams, bringing prosperity and blessing to all.
