He, the mighty one, received them and presented all those auspicious offerings to Rāghava and also to the valiant Lakṣmaṇa.
Seeing Vibhīṣaṇa, his task accomplished and his purpose fulfilled, Rāma accepted all those gifts, just as Vibhīṣaṇa wished.
Then Rāma spoke these words to Hanumān, the monkey, who stood before him, hands joined, bowing, like a mountain in strength.
Having taken leave of this great king, gentle Vibhīṣaṇa, enter the city of Laṅkā and convey my well-being to Sītā.
O best of speakers, tell Vaidehī of my welfare, and that of Sugrīva and Lakṣmaṇa, and also that Rāvaṇa has been slain in battle.
O lord of the monkeys, tell this pleasing news to Vaidehī, and after delivering the message, you should return.

This is the one hundred thirteenth sarga. Listen.
Thus instructed, Hanumān, son of the Wind, entered the city of Laṅkā, being honored by the night-dwelling Rākṣasas.
Entering the city of Laṅkā and having taken leave of Vibhīṣaṇa, Hanumān, with his permission, went to the grove of trees.
Entering properly, the monkey, known to Sītā, saw her deprived of joy, anxious, like the star Rohiṇī bereft of the moon.
At the foot of a tree, joyless, surrounded by Rākṣasī women, Hanumān approached quietly, bowed, and greeted her.
Seeing mighty Hanumān arrive, the goddess remained silent, but then, remembering him, she became glad.
Seeing her gentle face, Hanumān, the foremost of monkeys, began to recount all of Rāma’s words.
Vaidehi, Rama is well, together with Sugriva and Lakshmana. He sends his greetings, having accomplished his purpose, and has vanquished his enemies and conquered his foes.
With the aid of Vibhishana and the monkeys, Rama, O Lady, has slain Ravana, the mighty warrior, with Lakshmana's valor.
I bring you joyful news, O Lady, and again honor you. Through your power, O knower of righteousness, Rama achieved great victory in battle.
This victory has been won, O Sita; be at ease and free from distress. Ravana, the enemy, has been slain, and Lanka is subdued.
With sleepless resolve, I have fulfilled my vow for your liberation, crossing the ocean by building a bridge.
There is no need for anxiety while you remain in Ravana's abode; the sovereignty of Lanka is now entrusted to Vibhishana.
Therefore, be reassured and move freely in your own house; Rama himself approaches, eager and delighted to see you.
Thus addressed, the Lady Sita, whose face was radiant like the moon, was overwhelmed with joy and could not speak.
Then the foremost monkey spoke to Sita, who was silent: 'Why do you ponder, O Lady, and why do you not speak to me?'
Thus addressed by Hanuman, Sita, steadfast in righteousness, spoke with utmost joy, her words choked with tears.
Hearing this pleasing news of my husband's victory, I was overcome with delight and became speechless for a moment.
I do not see anything suitable, O monkey, to offer you in return for your tale, while I am still reflecting.
Nor do I see, gentle one, anything on earth that would be fitting to give you for your pleasing news, that would bring you happiness.
Neither gold nor silver nor various jewels, nor even sovereignty over the three worlds, can equal what you have spoken.
Thus addressed by Vaidehi, the monkey replied, standing before Sita with folded hands, filled with joy.
For one devoted to the husband's welfare, desiring his victory, only such affectionate words as yours, O blameless one, are fitting.
Your words, gentle lady, are full of substance and affection; they surpass heaps of jewels and even the sovereignty of the gods.
