धूम्राक्षस्याथ सम्पातेर्भवनं मारुतात्मजः। विद्युद्रूपस्य भीमस्य घनस्य विघनस्य च
Then the son of the wind went to the house of Dhūmrākṣa and Sampāti, and also to that of Vidyudrūpa, Bhīma, Ghana, and Vighana.
शुकनाभस्य चक्रस्य शठस्य कपटस्य च। ह्रस्वकर्णस्य दंष्ट्रस्य लोमशस्य च रक्षसः
He went to the houses of Śukanābha, Cakra, Śaṭha, Kapaṭa, Hrasvakarṇa, Daṃṣṭra, and Lomaśa, the rākṣasa.
युद्धोन्मत्तस्य मत्तस्य ध्वजग्रीवस्य सादिनः। विद्युज्जिह्वद्विजिह्वानां तथा हस्तिमुखस्य च
He went to the houses of Yuddhonmatta, Matta, Dhvajagrīva the horseman, the Vidyujjihvas, the Vijihvās, and also Hastimukha.
करालस्य पिशाचस्य शोणिताक्षस्य चैव हि। प्लवमानः क्रमेणैव हनुमान् मारुतात्मजः
Leaping in succession, Hanumān, the son of the wind, went to the houses of Karāla, Piśāca, and Śoṇitākṣa.

The best of monkeys, wandering like a lion among monkeys, saw the wives of Rāvaṇa, lying down, and the rākṣasīs with monstrous eyes.
शूलमुद्गरहस्तांश्च शक्तितोमरधारिणः। ददर्श विविधान्गुल्मांस्तस्य रक्षःपतेर्गृहे
He saw various troops in the house of the lord of the rākṣasas, some holding spears and clubs, others bearing śaktis and tomaras.
राक्षसांश्च महाकायान् नानाप्रहरणोद्यतान्। रक्तान् श्वेतान् सितांश्चापि हरींश्चापि महाजवान्
He saw rākṣasas of great size, armed with various weapons, red, white, and pale ones, and also monkeys of great speed.
कुलीनान् रूपसम्पन्नान् गजान् परगजारुजान्। शिक्षितान् गजशिक्षायामैरावतसमान् युधि

क्रीडागृहाणि चान्यानि दारुपर्वतकानि च। कामस्य गृहकं रम्यं दिवागृहकमेव च
He saw also other playhouses, wooden mountain models, the delightful house of love, and the day-hall.
ददर्श राक्षसेन्द्रस्य रावणस्य निवेशने। स मन्दरसमप्रख्यं मयूरस्थानसंकुलम्
In the palace of the king of the rākṣasas, Rāvaṇa, he saw a mansion as lofty as Mount Mandara, crowded with peacock thrones.
ध्वजयष्टिभिराकीर्णं ददर्श भवनोत्तमम्। अनन्तरत्ननिचयं निधिजालं समन्ततः। धीरनिष्ठितकर्माङ्गं गृहं भूतपतेरिव
He saw the excellent mansion, filled with flagstaffs, surrounded on all sides by heaps of countless jewels, its structure firm and resolute in its purpose, like the house of the lord of beings.
अर्चिर्भिश्चापि रत्नानां तेजसा रावणस्य च। विरराज च तद् वेश्म रश्मिवानिव रश्मिभिः
And with the brilliance of its gems and the radiance of Rāvaṇa himself, that palace shone like the sun with its rays.
जाम्बूनदमयान्येव शयनान्यासनानि च। भाजनानि च शुभ्राणि ददर्श हरियूथपः
The chief of the monkeys saw beds, seats, and shining vessels made entirely of gold.
मध्वासवकृतक्लेदं मणिभाजनसंकुलम्। मनोरममसम्बाधं कुबेरभवनं यथा
He saw vessels of jewels, soaked with honey and wine, charming and spacious, like the mansion of Kubera.
नूपुराणां च घोषेण काञ्चीनां निःस्वनेन च। मृदङ्गतलनिर्घोषैर्घोषवद्भिर्विनादितम्

Hanumān entered the great mansion, surrounded by clusters of palaces and hundreds of beautiful women, its courtyards well arranged.

Then he saw a lofty mansion, shaped like a mass of clouds, enchanting and beautiful with gold, fitting the power of the lord of the rākṣasas, a peerless house with no equal.
महीतले स्वर्गमिव प्रकीर्णं श्रिया ज्वलन्तं बहुरत्नकीर्णम्। नानातरूणां कुसुमावकीर्णं गिरेरिवाग्रं रजसावकीर्णम्
Spread on the earth like heaven, blazing with splendor, studded with many gems, covered with flowers of various trees, like the summit of a mountain covered with dust.
यथा नगाग्रं बहुधातुचित्रं यथा नभश्च ग्रहचन्द्रचित्रम्। ददर्श युक्तीकृतचारुमेघ- चित्रं विमानं बहुरत्नचित्रम्
He saw a palace adorned with many gems, as variegated as a mountain peak rich in minerals, as the sky is with planets and the moon, and beautifully decorated with artfully arranged clouds.
