But those heroic monkeys who had gone to hasten all the other monkeys saw that great tree on the Himalayan mountain.
On that excellent and sacred mountain, there was once a great sacrifice to Śiva, delightful and pleasing to the minds of all the gods.
There, the monkeys saw roots and fruits produced from the flow of offerings, tasting like nectar and fit for the gods.
That divine and enchanting fruit and root, born from the sacrificial food—whoever eats it even once is satisfied for a month.
Those foremost monkeys, eaters of fruit, took those divine roots, fruits, and also divine herbs.
And from that sacrificial site, the monkeys brought fragrant flowers, having gone there for Sugrīva’s pleasure.
Then all those best of monkeys, after urging all the monkeys on earth, quickly went at the head of the troops.
And those swift-moving monkeys, in that very moment, reached Kiṣkindhā with haste, where Sugrīva, the monkey, was.
The monkeys, having gathered all the herbs and fruits and roots, offered them to him and spoke these words:
All the mountains, rivers, and forests on earth have been searched; all the monkeys are coming to you by your command.

Listen to the thirty-eighth sarga (chapter).
Having received all the gifts that were brought, and having comforted all the monkeys, he dismissed them all.
After dismissing those thousands of monkeys who had completed their tasks, he considered himself accomplished, as well as Rāghava, the mighty one.
Then Lakṣmaṇa, delighting Sugrīva, the best and most powerful of all the monkeys, spoke these respectful words:
"If it pleases you, gentle one, let us depart from Kiṣkindhā." Hearing those well-spoken words of Lakṣmaṇa,
Sugrīva, greatly pleased, replied with these words: "So be it! Let us go. I shall remain under your command."
Having thus spoken to Lakṣmaṇa, who bore auspicious marks, Sugrīva then dismissed Tārā and the other women.
Sugrīva loudly called out, "Come!" to the best of monkeys. Hearing his words, the monkeys quickly assembled.
Then, to all those who were present, their hands joined in reverence and capable of being seen by women, the king, radiant like the sun, spoke as they arrived.
Monkeys, quickly bring my palanquin here! Hearing his words, the monkeys, swift in action,
brought forth a beautiful palanquin. Seeing the palanquin thus brought, the monkey king
said to Saumitri, 'Lakshmana, quickly ascend.' Having said this, Sugriva, shining like the sun, mounted the golden vehicle
yoked with many monkeys, together with Lakshmana, while a white parasol was held above his head.
He was fanned on all sides with white yak-tail fans, greeted by the sounds of conches and drums, and praised by bards.
Sugriva, having attained the highest royal splendor, set out. He was surrounded by hundreds of fierce monkeys, many armed with weapons.
Thus encircled, he went to where Rama was waiting. Reaching that place, honored by Rama,
the mighty Sugriva, together with Lakshmana, descended from the palanquin. Approaching Rama, he stood with joined palms.
As Sugriva stood with joined palms, so did the monkeys. Seeing him like a lotus bud in a pond, Rama
became pleased with Sugriva, seeing the great army of monkeys. Lifting the monkey lord, who had bowed at his feet,
Raghava embraced him with affection and respect. Having embraced him, the righteous one then said, 'Be seated.'
