अजानता कृतमिदं मया हरिणशंकया । क्षम्यतां मम पापेन दग्धं मां त्रातुमर्हसि
'Unknowingly I have done this, mistaking you for a deer; forgive my sin, and you are able to save me who am consumed.'
श्रीपराशर उवाच। ततस्तं भगवानाह न तेस्तु भयमण्वपि । गच्छ त्वं मत्प्रसादेन लुब्ध स्वर्गं सुरास्पदम्
Sri Parashara said: Then the Lord spoke to him, 'Let there not be even the slightest fear for you; go, by my grace, O hunter, to heaven, the abode of the gods.'
श्रीपराशर उवाच। विमानमागतं सद्यस्तद्वाक्यसमनंतरम् । आरुह्य प्रययौ स्वर्गं लुब्धकस्तत्प्रसादतः
Śrī Parāśara said: Immediately after those words, an aerial chariot arrived; ascending it, the hunter departed to heaven by that grace.
गते तस्मिन्सभगवान्संयोज्यात्मानमात्मनि । ब्रह्मभूतेऽव्ययेचिंत्ये वासुदेवमयेऽमले
When he had gone, the blessed one, uniting his self with the Self, entered the state of Brahman—imperishable, inconceivable, pure, and pervaded by Vāsudeva.
अजन्मन्यमरे विष्णावप्रमेयेऽखिलात्मनि । तत्याज मानुषं देहमतीत्य त्रिविधां गतिम्
In Viṣṇu, unborn among the immortals, immeasurable, the soul of all, he abandoned his human body, transcending the threefold path.
