Heti's son is Lankhu, and Lankhu has two sons. Malyavan and Sumali are the sons of Praheti. Hear now of Praheti's son, the illustrious Puloma by name.
Vadhas' son is Nikumbha, a fierce brahmarakshasa; Vata's son is Viraga, and Apo's son is Jambuka.
The tiger's son, Nirānanda, is a bringer of obstacles to living beings; all these, indeed, are fierce Rākṣasas.

The Yātudhānas have been described; now hear of the Brahmadhānas: Yajña is their father, Dhuni is their well-being, Brahmā is sinful, and Yajñahā is the slayer of sacrifice.
Svākoṭaka, Kali, Sarpa, and the ten sons of Brahmadhāna; their sisters are Brahmarākṣasīs—these are exceedingly terrible.
Raktakarṇā, Mahājihvā, Akṣayā, and Upahāriṇī—Brahmarākṣasas were born on earth in their lineage.
Most of these have made their abode in the Śleṣmātaka trees; thus these Rākṣasas have been described. Now hear also of the Yakṣa.
A Yakṣa desired the Apsaras named Kratusthalī, who was of fivefold fullness; longing for her and pondering, he wandered in Nandana.
There in Nandana, he saw Vaibhrāja, Surabhi, and also Citraratha, seated together with the Apsarases.
Seeking a means to obtain her, he found none; thinking thus, he was defiled by his own form and by his deed.
All beings shrink away from me, filled with fear; so how could I ever attain this beautiful woman?
Then, seeing a way, he quickly changed his form to that of the esteemed Gandharva; thus, in the midst of the Apsarases, the Guhyaka seized Kratusthalī.
Recognizing him as Suruci, she accepted him in her heart; he was united with her, visible to the assembly of Apsarases.
There, a son was immediately born to him, endowed with all marks of excellence, radiant and resplendent in beauty.
He addressed his father, saying, 'I am a king.' His father replied, 'Since you are born here, you need not fear.'
One is born resembling the mother in form and the father in vigor; when he was born, the father joyfully regained his own form.
The mighty Yakṣas and Rākṣasas assume their own nature—whether dying, sleeping, angry, frightened, or delighted.
Then the Guhyaka, smiling, said to the Apsaras: 'Come to my house, O lovely-hipped one, together with your son, O beautiful woman.'
Having said this, and seeing him assume his own form, the terrified and angry Apsarases, bewildered, fled away.
As they departed, her son followed her, comforting her with words; having led her among the Gandharvas and Apsarases, he then turned back.
And seeing the birth of the Yakṣa and the groups of Apsarases, they addressed Kratusthalī, saying, 'You are the mother of the Yakṣas.'

Then the Yakṣa, together with his son, went to his own abode, called Nyagrodharohiṇa, where the Guhyakas dwell; that banyan tree is the dwelling of the Yakṣas and is dear to all.

Twenty-four virtuous and auspicious sons were born to Maṇibhadra, all marked by virtue; their sons and grandsons, the Yakṣas, were also virtuous and auspicious.
Devajanī bore sons from Maṇivara: Pūrṇabhadra, Hemaratha, Maṇiman, and Nandivardhana.
