संप्राप्तस्तं गिरिवरं मयूरशतनादितम्
They reached that excellent mountain, resounding with the cries of hundreds of peacocks.
हाहाहूहूस्तथा चान्ये सर्वे गन्धर्वसत्तमाः
Likewise, Hāhā and Hūhū and all the foremost Gandharvas arrived.
अनिलश्चानलश्चैव धर्मः सत्यो ध्रुवोऽपरः 214.
Anila, Anala, Dharma, Satya, and another Dhruva also came.
गुह्यकाश्च महात्मानः सर्व एव समागताः
All the great-souled Guhyakas gathered there as well.
उर्वशी मेनका रंभा पंचस्या च तथापरा
Urvaśī, Menakā, Rambhā, and another called Pañcasyā were also present.
पुलस्त्योऽत्रिर्मरीचिश्च वसिष्ठो भृगुरेव च
Pulastya, Atri, Marīci, Vasiṣṭha, and also Bhṛgu came.
भारद्वाजोऽग्निवेश्यश्च तथा वृद्धपराशरः
Bhāradvāja, Agniveśya, and the aged Parāśara likewise arrived.
मरीचिर्जमदग्निश्च भार्गवश्च्यवनस्तथा
Marīci, Jamadagni, Bhārgava, and also Cyavana came.
शतद्रूश्च विपाशा च गंडकी च सरिद्वरा
The rivers Śatadrū, Vipāśā, and the excellent Gaṇḍakī arrived.
गोदावरी च वेणी च तापी च सरिदुत्तमा
Godāvarī, Veṇī, and Tāpi, the foremost of rivers, were also present.
नंदा च परनन्दा च तथा चर्मण्वती नदी
Nandā and Paranandā, as well as the river Carmaṇvatī,
सिंधुश्च पुरुषश्चैव प्रभासः सोम एव च 214.
Sindhu, Puruṣa, Prabhāsa, and Soma also,
अन्यानि चापि मेदिन्यां तीर्थान्यायतनानि च
And other sacred fords and shrines upon the earth,
निजस्वरूपेणाजग्मुस्तत्र पुण्यान्यनेकशः
All these, in their own forms, arrived there—many holy places.
शैलोत्तमो महामेरुः कैलासो गन्धमादनः
The greatest of mountains—Mahāmeru, Kailāsa, and Gandhamādana,
विन्ध्यो महेन्द्रः सह्यश्च मलयो दर्दुरस्तथा
Vindhya, Mahendra, Sahya, Malaya, and Dardura as well,
आगताः सर्व एवैते शैलेन्द्राः काननौकसः
All these lords of mountains, dwellers of the forests, came together.
सर्वे यज्ञाः सर्वविद्या वेदाश्चत्वार एव च
All the sacrifices, all the branches of knowledge, and the four Vedas as well,
वासुकिश्च महाभागश्चामृताशी भुजङ्गराट्
Vāsuki, the most fortunate, the nectar-eating king of serpents,
फणींद्रो धृतराष्ट्रश्च किर्मीराङ्गश्च नागराट्
The lord of serpents, Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Kirmīrāṅga, the king of nāgas,
ख्यातस्त्रिभुवने धीमान्नहुषोऽनिमिषेश्वरः 214.
Renowned in the three worlds, the wise Nahuṣa, lord of the sleepless,
फणाशतधरो रूपी भूरिशृङ्ग इवाचलः
He with a hundred hoods, of many forms, like a mountain with many peaks,
विनतो नागराजश्च कम्बलाश्वतरौ तथा
Vinata, the king of nāgas, and Kambala and Aśvatara as well,
उरगानामधिपती कर्कोटकधनञ्जयौ
The lords of serpents—Karkoṭa and Dhanañjaya,
अहोरात्र तथा पक्षा मासाः संवत्सरास्तथा
Day and night, the lunar fortnights, the months, and the years,
ततश्चैवागतैर्देवैर्यक्षैः सिद्धैश्च सर्वशः
Then, with all the gods, yakṣas, and siddhas having arrived,
तस्मिन्देवसमाजे तु रम्ये शैलेन्द्रमूर्द्धनि
In that assembly of gods, beautiful, upon the summit of the lord of mountains,
प्रगीता देवगन्धर्वाः प्रनृत्ताप्सरसां गणाः
The gods and gandharvas sang, and the hosts of apsarases danced.
पुण्यगन्धाः सुखस्पर्शास्तत्र वांति च वायवः
There, the winds are fragrant and pleasant to the touch.
