अयं यातु महाभागो देवदेवं सनातनम् 205.
Let this highly fortunate one go to the eternal Lord of gods.
सर्वशक्त्या समेतेन द्विजेभ्य उपपादिताः
With all his power united, he has provided for the twice-born.
तेन कल्पं वसिष्यन्ति रुद्रकल्पा मनोरमाः
By him, the delightful Rudra realms will endure for an age.
तेन दत्तं द्विजातिभ्यो मधुखण्डपुरःसरम्
He has given to the twice-born, led by honey and sugar.
तरुणी क्षीरसम्पन्ना गौः सुवर्णयुता शुभा
A young, auspicious cow, full of milk and adorned with gold.
अस्य लेख्यं मया दृष्टं तिस्रः कोट्यस्त्रिविष्टपे
I have seen his record: three crore years in heaven.
सुवर्णस्य प्रदाता च त्रिदशेभ्यो निवेद्यताम्
Let the giver of gold be announced to the gods.
तत्रैष वै महातेजा यथेष्टं काममाप्नुयात्
There, this great-souled one will obtain whatever he desires.
प्रयातु पितृभिः सार्द्धं तर्पिता येन पूर्वजाः
Let him go together with his ancestors, by whom his forebears have been satisfied.
अयं भद्रो महाकामं सर्वभूतहिते रतः
This blessed one, intent on the welfare of all beings, desires great things.
क्षितिप्रदो द्विजातिभ्यो ह्ययं यातु त्रिविष्टपम् 205.
Let this giver of land to the twice-born now ascend to heaven.
विविधैः कामभोगैस्तु सेव्यमानो नरोत्तमः
Honored with various enjoyments of desire, this best of men—
इति श्रीवराहपुराणे भगवच्छास्त्रे संसारचक्रे शुभाशुभफलानुकीर्त्तनं नाम पञ्चाधिकद्विशततमोऽध्यायः
Thus, in the blessed Varaha Purana, in the divine scripture, ends the two hundred and fifth chapter entitled 'The Description of the Fruits of Good and Evil Deeds in the Cycle of Existence.'
अथ शुभकर्मफलोदय प्रकरणम् चित्रगुप्तस्य सन्देशो वदतो यो मया श्रुतः
Now begins the section on the rise of the fruits of virtuous deeds: the message of Chitragupta, as I have heard it spoken.
इमं सर्वातिथिं दान्तं सर्वभूतानुकम्पकम्
This one, who welcomes all guests, is self-controlled, and compassionate to all beings—
मुञ्च मुञ्च महाभृत्य चैष धर्मस्य निर्णयः
Release him, release him, O great servant; this is the judgment of righteousness.
मम स्थास्यन्ति पार्श्वेषु पापा वै विकृतास्तथा
The wicked, deformed by sin, shall remain at my side.
दीयतामासनं दिव्यं तथान्यद्यानमेव च । अन्यान्यान्कामयेत्कामान्मनसा यानि चेच्छति
Let a divine seat be given to him, and likewise other vehicles; whatever desires he wishes in his mind, let those also be granted.
तत्तु शीघ्रं प्रदातव्यं धर्मराजस्य शासनात्
All this must be given quickly, by the command of the Lord of Dharma.
प्रेक्षतां च महाभागो भोक्तुं चैव सहानुगः
Let this highly fortunate one, along with his retinue, behold and enjoy.
ततः स प्रवरैर्यानैः सानुगः सपरिच्छदः
Then, with excellent vehicles, accompanied by his followers and attendants—
देवानां भवनं यातु दैवतैरभिपूजितः
Let him go to the abode of the gods, honored by the deities.
स कृतार्थः सदा लोके यत्रैषोऽभिप्रयास्यति 206.
He, having attained his purpose, will always be fulfilled in the world wherever he may go.
नैककन्याप्रदातारं नैकयज्ञकृतं तथा
Not only one who gives a single maiden, nor only one who performs a single sacrifice—
तत्रैष रमतां धीरः सहस्रमयुतं समाः
Let this steadfast one delight there for thousands and tens of thousands of years.
भूतानुकम्पको ह्येष क्रियतामस्य चार्च्चनम्
For he is compassionate to beings; let worship be performed for him.
जायते तु ततः पश्चात्सर्वमानुषपूजितः
Then, afterwards, he is born, honored by all people.
असकृद्येन दत्तानि तस्मै पूजां प्रयच्छथ
To him who has given gifts repeatedly, offer worship.
हस्तेन संस्पृशत्येष मृदुना शीतलेन च
He touches it with his hand, gently and coolly.
महापद्मानि चत्वारि तस्मिंस्तिष्ठन्तु नित्यशः
Let the four great lotuses remain there always.
