पापकर्मायमत्यर्थं सर्व तीर्थविनाशकः
This man, exceedingly sinful, is the destroyer of all sacred places.
आदेश्य चोभयोरस्य कर्णयोः कूटसाक्षिकः 202.
Let a false witness be instructed in both his ears.
ग्रामयाजनकं विप्रमध्रुवं दांभिकं शठम्
A brahmin who conducts village sacrifices, who is unreliable, hypocritical, and deceitful—
जिह्वाऽस्य छिद्यतां शीघ्रं वाचा दुष्टस्य पापिनः
Quickly cut out the tongue of this wicked sinner, whose speech is corrupt.
कृतं लोभाभिभूतेन कामसम्मोहितेन च
This has been done by one overcome with greed and deluded by desire.
इमं तु खलकं कृत्वा दुरात्मा पापकारिणम्
Having committed this wicked act, this evil-minded doer of sin—
इमं वार्धुषिकं विप्रं सर्वत्रांगेषु भेदय
This fraudulent brahmin, break all his limbs everywhere.
सुवर्णस्तेयिनं पापं कृतघ्नं च तथा नरम्
The sinful one who steals gold, and likewise the ungrateful man—
अस्थि च्छित्वा ततः क्षिप्रं क्षारमग्निं च दापय
After breaking his bones, immediately apply alkali and fire.
पिशुनं हि महाव्याघ्राः पंच घोराः सुदारुणाः
For the slanderer, there are five terrible, fierce, great tigers.
येनाग्निरुज्झितः पूर्वं गृहीत्वा च न पूजितः
He by whom fire was previously neglected and, though received, was not honored—
कर्कटस्य तु घोरस्य नित्यक्रुद्धस्य मोचय 202.
Release him to the dreadful crab, ever wrathful.
सर्वेषां तु पशूनां यो नित्यं धारयते जलम्
Whoever always withholds water from all animals—
अदानव्रतिनो विप्रा वेदविक्रयिणस्तथा
Brahmins who do not give, and those who sell the Veda—
तोयभाजनहर्त्तारं भोजनं योऽनिवारयन्
One who steals a water vessel, or who does not prevent food from being taken—
वेणुदण्डकशाभिश्च लोहदण्डैस्तथैव च
With bamboo rods, whips, and also with iron rods—
तस्मा अन्नं च पानं च न दातव्यं कदाचन
Therefore, food and drink must never be given to them.
ब्रह्मदेयं हृतं येन तं वै शीघ्रं विपाचय
Whoever has stolen land given to a brahmin, quickly punish him.
समुत्तीर्णं ततः पश्चात्तिर्यग्योनौ प्रपातये
Once he has crossed over, then cast him into the womb of an animal.
क्लिष्टो जातिसहस्रैस्तु जायते मानुषस्ततः
Afflicted through thousands of births, he is then born as a human.
हिंसारूपेण घोरेण ब्रह्मवध्यां प्रदापयेत्
Let one impose the punishment of killing a Brahmin in its dreadful form.
सुवर्णस्तेयिनं चैव सुरापं चैव कारयेत् 202.
Let one inflict punishment upon the thief of gold and the drinker of liquor as well.
गोघातको ह्ययं पापः कूटशाल्मलिमारुहेत्
The killer of a cow, indeed, is sinful; let him ascend the tree of thorns.
पूतिपाकेषु पच्येत जन्तुभिः संप्रयोजितः
Let him be cooked in cauldrons of putrid decay, joined with creatures.
उद्विग्नवासं पतितं यत्र यत्रोपपद्यते
Let him dwell in distress, fallen wherever he may be born.
अयं तिष्ठति किं पापः पितृघाती दुरात्मवान्
Why does this wicked soul, the slayer of his father, remain here?
ततः पाकेषु घोरेषु पच्यतां च नराधमः
Then let this vile man be cooked in dreadful cauldrons.
व्यापन्नो दशगर्भेषु ततः पश्चाद्विमुच्यताम्
Having suffered in ten wombs, let him then be released afterwards.
बुभुक्षारुग्विकारैश्च सततं तत्र पीड्यताम्
Let him be tormented constantly there by hunger, disease, and afflictions.
यन्त्रेण पीड्यतां क्षिप्रं ततः पश्चाद्विमुच्यताम्
Let him be quickly tormented by the instrument, and then released afterwards.
