Then, with this mantra, one should bring the deity into the temple.
Having thus performed the installation, one should offer the unction to the Lord.
After performing the unction, one should recite this mantra: 'O Lord of good worlds, praised and welcomed, remain here, accompanied by mantra.'
Having thus performed the installation, one should worship with fragrant substances and garlands.
Mantra: O Lord of the gods, accept these garments, which I have made with devoted reverence.
Thus, one should give the garments to me according to the prescribed rite, and likewise offer incense, reciting this mantra.
Mantra: That primeval Person, ancient, Narayana, the chief of all worlds.

Then, according to his means and ability, he should satisfy the poor and the destitute.
As many water-drops arise on my body,
Whoever establishes me on earth, free from all pride,
Thus, O blessed one, I have described to you the installation of my stone image.
Thus ends the one hundred eighty-second chapter, entitled 'The Installation of the Stone Image,' in the glorious Varaha Purana.
Now I will again explain the installation of a clay image; listen to this, O Earth.
Having made a clay image, unbroken and without cracks,
One who, having made such an image, is devoted to my rites,
If wooden images are not available, then a clay one should be made there.
By the methods prescribed for copper, bell-metal, silver, gold, or tin,
Another form of worship for me on the altar is through the acceptance of offerings.
Considering his household, someone intent on desire may worship me.
Know, O Earth, that in this way I am established—there is no doubt.
Whoever performs my rites with mantras or according to the prescribed rules,
I grant each respective fruit with a pleased inner self.
My devotee, ever constant and always engaged in action,
should offer a handful of water to Me; by that, My supreme delight is attained.
One who, with a tranquil inner self, continually contemplates Me,
All this, most secret and carefully guarded, has been revealed to you.
