Placing the vessel in the pit, she always resides at the sacrifice.
Then, after a long time, those Brahmins questioned that foremost of twice-born.
He narrated the entire account of himself.
Then the Brahmins said to him: 'You are a Shudra.'
But by our declaration, you are again established as a Brahmin.
Then, for the purpose of bathing, he went to the place called Chakratirtha.
With a joyful heart, she spoke these words to her husband.
Hearing her loving words, the husband replied.
Hearing her husband's words, the wife spoke again.
By the power of Cakra Tirtha, you are freed, O best of twice-born.
Then, together with her, the excellent brahmin went to Kalpagrama.
There, those to whom offerings are given always partake of the food.
O Earth, Cakra Tirtha surpasses Kalpagrama a hundredfold.
What is Kalpagrama to him, or even Varanasi, O auspicious one?
Even if one is born as a worm or an insect there, he attains a four-armed form.
Thus ends the one hundred sixty-second chapter, named 'The Glory of Cakra Tirtha,' in the section on the greatness of Mathura, in the glorious Varaha Purana.
Now, O Earth, I will again tell you another account—the greatness of Kapila Varaha; listen to it.
In Mithila, the beautiful city, ruled by Janaka,
O Earth, there were brahmins, kshatriyas, vaishyas, and also shudras.
Among them, O beautiful one, devotion arose toward Mathura.
Among them, there was a certain brahmin marked by the sin of brahmahatya.
The embodiment of brahmahatya was visibly seen by all.
He had not gone before; he performed ablution at Vaikuntha.
O Earth, they asked, 'What is this? What is this?'
By what fault or cause did the stream abandon the twice-born and depart?
When he was immersed in Vaikuṇṭha, then the sin of killing a Brahmin departed from him.
Thus addressed by them, the Lord of the gods vanished there itself.
Whoever bathes at the Vaikuṇṭha tīrtha is freed from all sins.
Sūta said: By name, Gandharva-kuṇḍa is the foremost of all holy places.
O Devi, a man who bathes there rejoices together with the Gandharvas.
