Is there perhaps another secret, auspicious field?
O creator of the gods, Nṛsiṃha, lord of the worlds, surrounded by gods and asuras, steadfast among gods, heroic among the divine,
Hearing the trembling words of the Earth, Janārdana—
Śrī Varāha said: I will declare another secret, the origin of my vow and action.
Then, going to Siddhavaṭa, which is thirty yojanas away,
There, in the field of Lohārgala, an auspicious dwelling is established.
It is difficult and unbearable, surrounded everywhere by sins.
There I reside, O blessed one, established in the northern direction.
From there, all the Dānavas, ascending, reach the highest world.
There, Brahmā and the Rudras, Skanda, Indra, and the hosts of Maruts,
Soma and Bṛhaspati, and all the other dwellers of heaven,
Hundreds of billions of thousands were swiftly cast down there.
Thus, I have established a field called Lohārgala.
There, the installation of those beings of great power was also accomplished.
He too, devoted to the Lord, becomes firmly established on earth.
And, after fasting for three nights, performing the prescribed rites,
Then, there, one departs from life, having completed one's own actions.
Moreover, I shall tell you of another most wondrous place.
On the twenty-fourth Dvādaśī, according to the monthly rite for me,
There, a horse is prepared for me, adorned with all jewels.
My arrows and bow are there, as well as an axle-cord and water-pot.
Ascending the White Mountain, I descend upon many Kurus.
Having cast down many forms from the sky,
Sūta said: Filled with supreme wonder, enhanced by Viṣṇu's power,
Then, overwhelmed with amazement, the wise son of Brahmā,
Sanatkumāra said: O goddess, you have directly beheld the Lord of the worlds.
He, with eyes broad as lotus petals, whom you addressed,
As you recount, the supreme and secret dharma, composed by the best of gods,
Then, what did that lotus-eyed one say next?
(Sūta said:) He spoke sweet words, addressing the son of Brahmā.
