प्रपन्नेनापि मार्गं तच्छिद्रं तत्र न पश्यति
Even one who has entered does not see the path or opening there.
तत्र पूर्वेण पार्श्वेण ह्यदूरादर्द्धयोजनात्
There, to the east, not far from the side, at half a yojana's distance—
धाराः पतन्ति कल्याणि प्रसन्नसलिलास्तथा
Streams fall, O auspicious one, and the waters are clear as well.
चतुर्णां लोकपालानां लोकानाप्नोति चोत्तमान्
He attains the highest worlds of the four guardians of the directions.
लोकपालान्समुत्सृज्य मम लोकेषु मोदते
Leaving behind the guardians of the directions, he delights in my worlds.
शुद्धैर्भागवतैर्भूमे सर्वसंसार मोक्षणम्
On earth, with pure devotees of the Lord, there is liberation from all worldly existence.
न च तद्वर्द्धते चाम्भो न चैव परिहीयते 150.
And that water neither increases nor decreases.
श्रूयते गीतनिर्घोषः श्रुतिकर्ममनोहरः
One hears the sound of singing, enchanting to the ear and pleasing to the mind.
जामदग्न्यस्य रामस्य स्वाश्रमोऽथ भविष्यति
There will be the hermitage of Rāma, son of Jamadagni.
शाल्मलीं चाग्रतः कृत्वाधिष्ठितश्चोत्तरामुखः
Having placed the Śālmalī tree in front, he remains facing north.
ऋषिलोकं ततो गत्वा पश्येत्तत्राप्यरुन्धतीम्
Then, going to the world of the sages, one sees Arundhatī there as well.
ऋषिलोकं परित्यज्य मम लोकं प्रपद्यते
Leaving the world of the sages, one attains my world.
वर्षाणि द्वादशैतेन नमस्कारः कृतो भवेत्
By this, a salutation is performed for twelve years.
पापात्मानो न पश्यन्ति मम मायाविमोहिताः
The wicked, deluded by my māyā, do not see me.
तत्र पश्यन्ति सुश्रोणि शुद्धा भागवता नराः
There, O beautiful-hipped one, pure devotees of the Lord behold me.
जटाकुण्डमिति ख्यातं वायव्यां दिशि संस्थितम्
It is known as Jaṭākuṇḍa, situated in the northwestern direction.
मलयस्य दक्षिणेन समुद्रस्योत्तरे तथा 150.
To the south of Malaya and to the north of the ocean as well.
अगस्तिभक्नं गत्वा मोदते नात्र संशयः
Having gone to Agastibhakna, one rejoices—of this there is no doubt.
अगस्तिभवनं त्यक्त्वा मम लोकं तु गच्छति
Leaving the abode of Agasti, one goes to my world.
विस्तारश्च महाभागे अगाधश्च महार्णवः
O noble lady, the great ocean is vast and unfathomable.
यच्च पश्यति सुश्रोणि समन्तादितरो जनः
And whatever else people see all around, O beautiful-hipped one,
न वर्द्धते ततश्चाम्भो यावत्तिष्ठति तत्पुनः
From that, too, the water does not increase as long as it remains there.
आश्चर्यं च प्रमाणं च भक्तिकीर्त्तिविवर्द्धनम्
It is both wondrous and authoritative, increasing the glory of devotion.
यस्तु गच्छति सुश्रोणि अष्टभक्तपथे स्थितः
But whoever, O beautiful-hipped one, proceeds along the path of eightfold devotion—
य एतत्पठते नित्यं यश्चैवं शृणुयान्मुदा
Whoever recites this daily, and whoever listens to it with joy,
एतन्मरणकाले न विस्मर्त्तव्यं कदाचन
At the time of death, this must never be forgotten under any circumstance.
एतत्ते कथितं भद्रे त्वया पृष्टं च मां प्रति 150.
O blessed one, thus I have told you what you asked me.
इति श्रीवराहपुराणे भगवच्छास्त्रे सानंदूरमाहात्म्यं नाम पंचाशदधिकशततमोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the one hundred fiftieth chapter, named 'The Greatness of Sānandūra,' in the divine scripture of the Śrī Varāha Purāṇa.
अथ लोहार्गलमाहात्म्यम् सानन्दूरस्य माहात्म्यमेतच्छ्रुत्वा वसुन्धरा
Now, the glory of Lohārgala: Having heard the greatness of Sānandūra, Vasundharā—
धरण्युवाच यच्छ्रुत्वा सुमहाभाग जाताऽस्मि विगतज्वरा
Dharaṇī said: O greatly fortunate one, having heard this, I am freed from all distress.
