By the power of bathing there, one is born—of this there is no doubt.
Surpassing the world of Indra, he attains my world.
There, on the stone surface of Kokāśilā, it is known as Śakra-Rudra.
O noble one, there is another great and special secret place in that field.
It is known as Daṃṣṭrāṃkura, where the Kokā river emerges.
O blessed one, one who offers water there and stays for a day and night,
There, if he departs from life, steadfast in my actions,
In that great secret field, the highest fruit arises.
Then, from the middle of the mountain, water falls into the Kokā.
There, having offered water on the earth, he cuts the bonds of worldly existence.
There, if he departs from life, steadfast in my actions,
There is a blessed place, the confluence of the Kauśikī and Kokā rivers.
There, a man who bathes and stays for a day and night,
Whether in heaven or on earth, whatever a man desires,
There, then, one departs from life, remaining engaged in my act.
Three streams indeed fall there, taking refuge in the Kauśikī river.
And there, if one sees a fish while bathing,
There, O beautiful one, if the sacrificer again sees the fish,
Whoever bathes there, O goddess, in that most secret place,
Then, having attained it, he is freed—the fish is my supreme secret.
My field called Kokāmukha is five yojanas wide.
And I will tell you something else; listen to this, O Earth.
It shines like stone and sandalwood, and is difficult even for the gods to attain.
Making the left side of the face high, and the left tusk elevated,
Those men, O Earth, who remember me are freed from sin.
If at any time one goes to Kokāmukha during the course of life,
This place is the supreme secret among secrets, the highest and greatest.
Not by Sāṃkhya nor by Yoga do they attain the highest perfection.
Thus, O highly fortunate one, I have told you the best, which you have asked.
Whoever, O Earth, recounts this supreme Kokāmukha,
