Mantra: O Viṣṇu, all weapons have been renounced, all kṣatriya duties have been abandoned.
Thus, after speaking these words, the kṣatriya remains at my side.
Mantra: O god of gods, I do not touch weapons, nor do I utter slander, O Lord.
Then, having spoken thus, one should worship everything here.
After that, one should offer them food on the ground as previously instructed.
This, O goddess, is the initiation for a kṣatriya, which brings liberation from worldly existence.
Now I shall explain the initiation for a vaiśya; listen to the truth of it, O beautiful one.
Having abandoned vaiśya duties, he becomes devoted to my service.
Everything previously spoken by me should be gathered there.
First, the place should be smeared with cow dung, as before.
Taking an udumbara stick for cleaning the teeth, he should hold it in his right hand.
Touching the ground with his knees, he should recite this mantra.
Mantra: I, a vaiśya, have come to you, having given up all vaiśya duties and associations.
Having thus spoken, he too becomes devoted to my service.
Having abandoned agriculture, cattle-rearing, and trade, both buying and selling,
Having offered salutations to the gods and to the Bhagavatas in front,
Thus is the initiation for Vaiśyas who follow my path,
I shall now declare, O noble lady, the initiation for a Śūdra who is devoted to me,
For a Śūdra desiring initiation, these rites should be performed quickly,
Then, O goddess, after anointing him up to eight hands' length, let him be led thereafter,
One should give him a Vaiṣṇava staff and a blue garment,
Having sought refuge in me alone, he should recite this mantra,
Then, having abandoned what is edible and inedible, and also having given up the duties of a Śūdra,
Freed from all sins, restored to awareness, and devoid of desire,
For the purpose of pleasing the guru, he should recite this mantra,
Mantra: By the grace of Viṣṇu, I perform this act for liberation from worldly existence, as before, having obtained the secret from the gracious one; be pleased.
Having clearly recited this mantra, one should perform circumambulation there,
Afterwards, one should perform worship with fragrance and garlands,
This is the initiation for Śūdras, and such is the procedure,
I shall declare something else to you; listen to it, O Vasundharā,
