Then, having made the mouth-utterance, the disciple is thus initiated by the guru.
If I, becoming lower and lower, wander—then the guru and Viṣṇu-initiation are obtained.

In this scripture, the initiation of a brāhmaṇa on earth is thus declared.
By this very procedure, O Earth, one should perform initiation.
Thus, in the Śrī Varāha Purāṇa, the one hundred and twenty-seventh chapter named 'The Sutra on Brāhmaṇa Initiation'.
Now, I shall explain the ritual of the mirror, collyrium, and girdle for a kṣatriya; listen to this, O Earth.

After that, one should use an aśvattha stick as the staff in the initiation.
Everything I have spoken must be done, as well as what I have previously declared.
Taking hold of my feet, one should recite this mantra.
