जातास्मि त्वत्प्रिया चापि स्मरन्ती पूर्वजन्म तत्
I was born as your beloved, remembering that former birth.
गलितान्यल्पशेषाणि प्राणनाथ समीपतः
My remaining life is now slipping away, as I lie near you, my beloved.
आनीतोऽसि मया भद्र स्थानं कोकामुखं प्रति
O blessed one, you have been brought by me to the place called Kokāmukha.
उत्तमे तु कुले जाता मानुषी जातिमाश्रिताः
Born in an excellent family, you have assumed human birth.
तं तमेव करिष्यामि विष्णुलोके सुखावहम्
I shall make that very place bring happiness in the world of Vishnu.
विस्मयं परमं गत्वा साधु साध्वित्यपूजयत्
Having attained supreme wonder, she worshipped, saying 'Excellent, excellent!'
तच्छ्रुत्वा कानिचिद्देवी स्वयं चक्रे पतिव्रता
Hearing that, some goddesses themselves became devoted to their husbands.
तत्तत्सर्वेऽपि कुर्वंति विधिदृष्टेन कर्मणा 122.
All of them performed those acts according to the prescribed rules.
ददतुः परमप्रीतौ पात्रेभ्यश्च यथार्हतः
They gave, with utmost delight, to worthy recipients as was appropriate.
ब्राह्मणेभ्यो ददुः स्वानि विष्णुभक्त्या यतव्रताः
The ascetic devotees, with devotion to Vishnu, gave their possessions to the Brahmins.
तत्क्षेत्रस्य प्रभावेण श्वेतद्वीपमुपागताः
By the power of that sacred place, they reached Śvetadvīpa.
मुक्त्वा तु मानुषं भावं श्वेतद्वीपमुपागतः
Having abandoned their human state, they arrived at Śvetadvīpa.
( शुक्लाम्बरधरा दिव्यभूषणैश्च विभूषिताः
Clad in white garments and adorned with divine ornaments,
स्त्रियोऽपि दिव्या यत्रत्या दिव्यभूषणभूषिताः
Even the women there are divine, adorned with celestial jewels.
मयि शुद्धं परं भावमारूढाः सत्यवर्च्चसः
They have attained pure and supreme devotion to me, possessing truthfulness.
यत्र मत्स्यश्च चिल्ली च सकामा ये समागताः
There, Matsya and Cillī, and those who have come with desire, are present.
ते च विष्णुमयान्धर्मान्द्विजस्तांस्तान्त्समाचरेत्
The twice-born should practice those very righteous acts imbued with Vishnu.
तेऽपि कुर्वन्ति कर्माणि मम भक्ता व्यवस्थिताः 122.
Those devoted to me also perform actions, established in my devotion.
कुर्वन्तो मम कर्माणि भाव्यं पंचत्वमागताः
Performing my actions, they attain dissolution into the five elements.
मानुषं भावमुत्सृज्य मम लोकमुपागतः
Having abandoned their human state, they have reached my world.
) याश्च तत्र स्त्रियः काश्चित्सर्वाश्चोत्पलगन्धिनीः
And all the women there, some among them, all fragrant with the scent of lotuses,
प्रसादान्मम सुश्रोणि श्वेतद्वीपमुपागताः
By my grace, O beautiful-hipped one, they have reached Śvetadvīpa.
कर्मणां परमं कर्म तपसां च महत्तपः
The highest act among actions, the greatest austerity among austerities,
धर्माणां च परो धर्मस्तवार्थं कीर्तितो मया
And the supreme righteousness among righteousnesses has been proclaimed by me for your sake.
अभक्ताय न तं दद्यादश्रद्धाय शठाय च
It should not be given to one who is without devotion, faithless, or deceitful.
पण्डिताय च दातव्यं यश्च शास्त्रविशारदः 122.
It should be given to one who is learned and skilled in the scriptures.
सोऽपि मुच्येत पूतात्मा गर्भाद्योनिभवाद्भयात्
Such a person, purified in soul, is freed from the fear of birth in the womb.
य एतेन विधानेन गत्वा कोकामुखं महत्
Whoever, by this method, goes to the great Kokāmukha,
अथ सुमनोगन्धादिमाहात्म्यम् श्रुत्वा तु कोकामाहात्म्यं पृथिवी धर्मसंहितम्
Then, having heard the glory of Sumanogandha and Kokāma, the earth, filled with righteousness,
धरण्युवाच तिर्यग्योनिगतो वापि प्राप्तो यत्परमां गतिम्
Dharaṇī said: Even one born in an animal womb, if he attains the supreme state,
