अपराधं सप्तदशं कल्पयामि वसुन्धरे
O Earth, I establish the seventeenth offense.
अष्टादशापराधं च कल्पयामि वसुंधरे
O Earth, I establish the eighteenth offense.
एकोनविंशापराधं कल्पयामि वसुंधरे
O Earth, I establish the nineteenth offense.
विंशकं चापराधं तं कल्पयामि वरानने
O beautiful-faced one, I establish the twentieth offense.
एकविंशापराधं तं कल्पयामि वसुन्धरे
O Earth, I establish the twenty-first offense.
द्वाविंशं चापराधं तं कल्पयामि प्रिये सदा
O beloved, I always establish the twenty-second offense.
अपराधं त्रयोविंशं कल्पयामि वसुन्धरे
O Earth, I establish the twenty-third offense.
अपराधं चतुर्विंशं कल्पयामि वसुन्धरे
O Earth, I establish the twenty-fourth offense.
अपराधं पंचविंशं कल्पयामि वसुन्धरे
O Earth, I establish the twenty-fifth offense.
अपराधेषु षड्विंशं कल्पयामि वसुन्धरे 117.
O Earth, I establish the twenty-sixth among the offenses.
सप्तविंशं चापराधं कल्पयामि गुणान्विते
O virtuous one, I establish the twenty-seventh offense.
अपराधं त्वष्टविंशं कल्पयामि गुणान्विते
O virtuous one, I establish the twenty-eighth offense.
एकोनविंशापराधो न स स्वर्गेषु गच्छति
The nineteenth offense does not lead one to the heavens.
त्रिंशकं चापराधं तं कल्पयामि यशस्विनि
O illustrious one, I establish the thirtieth offense.
एकत्रिंशं चापराधं कल्पयामि मनस्विनि
O wise one, I establish the thirty-first offense.
महापराधं जनीयाद्द्वात्रिंशं तं मम प्रिये
O beloved, the thirty-second offense is considered a great offense.
कृत्वा चावश्यकं कर्म मम लोकं च गच्छति
Having performed the necessary act, one attains my world.
अहिंसापरमश्चैव सर्वभूतदयापरः
He is devoted to nonviolence and compassion toward all beings.
निगृह्य चेन्द्रियग्राममपराधविवर्जितः
Restraining the group of senses, free from transgression,
शास्त्रज्ञः कुशलश्चैव मम कर्मपरायणः 117.
Knowledgeable in the scriptures, skilled, and devoted to my actions,
आचार्यभक्ता देवेषु भक्ता भर्तरि वत्सला
Devoted to her teacher, devoted to the gods, affectionate toward her husband,
मम लोकस्थिता सा वै भर्त्तारं प्रसमीक्षते
She, established in my world, looks upon her husband with favor.
स ततोऽत्र प्रतीक्षेत भार्यां भर्त्तरि वत्सलाम्
He should likewise regard his affectionate wife with favor.
ऋषयो मां न पश्यन्ति मम कर्मपथे स्थिताः
The seers, though established in my path of action, do not see me.
किं पुनर्मानुषा ये च मम कर्मव्यवस्थिताः
What then of humans, who are also established in my path of action?
मम मायाविमूढास्तु न प्रपद्यन्ति माधवि
Those deluded by my māyā, O Mādhavi, do not approach me.
तानहं भावसंसिद्धान्बुद्ध्वा संविभजामि वै
Those who are perfected in disposition, I recognize and indeed distribute (to them accordingly).
तेनेदं कथितं देवि आख्यानं धर्मसंयुतम्
Thus, O goddess, this account imbued with dharma has been told.
ततो न चोपदिष्टाय न शठाय प्रदापयेत
Therefore, it should not be given to one who has not been instructed, nor to a deceitful person.
शठाय च न दातव्यं नास्तिकाय न माधवि 117.
It should not be given to the deceitful, nor to the atheist, O Mādhavi.
