In whose house this is kept written and always honored,

Now begins the praise of the Blessed Lord.
Salutations to that Varaha, who playfully raised up the earth.
With the tip of his tusk, surrounded by mountains and rivers, he lifted up the earth, encircled by serpents; for the sake of removing the fear of his devotees, the boar-formed one, destroyer of the ten-headed demon, did this.
At that time, in the previous cycle, the earth was rescued by the Boar incarnation.
The Earth said: O Keśava, no other form or arm is able to support someone like me, the earth.
When the earth had thus been comforted by him, he who had come there—
He spoke words of blessing at the sacred place, and replied to the earth goddess: 'O Devi, you flourish upon seeing him, and you are his beloved.'

Hearing the words of the son of Brahmā, the earth spoke: 'What was secret, he asked me, and what I replied—'
Listen, O foremost of Brahmins, to the true and profound secret of dharma, full of great power.

He brought all of them to the place where the goddess was present.
