In a place of wondrous beauty, silver and golden lotuses bloom without doubt, their radiance gracing the landscape. Upon the Maṇipūra mountain, four streams flow, nourishing the land and bestowing blessings. Those who reach this sacred place delight in the Vaikhānasa worlds, finding joy and fulfillment there. Yet, even this joy is transcended, for when the Vaikhānasa worlds are relinquished, the soul attains the divine world of the speaker. All the marvels seen in the pools and on Maṇipūra mountain are revealed to the pure-hearted. However, when sinners come to bathe, the blessings do not descend as they once did; instead, only a single stream falls upon Maṇipūra, withholding its full grace. The one freed from attachment, O greatly fortunate soul, finds delight in the abode of Varuṇa, but even this realm must be abandoned to be honored in the speaker’s world. Only humans of pure heart perceive these wonders; those burdened by sinful deeds remain blind to them. Among these marvels are swans, radiant as moonlight and jasmine flowers, gracing the waters with their presence. Such souls attain supreme perfection on earth, a truth beyond doubt. It is here that the pure-hearted Vṛṣṇis have arrived at the speaker’s abode, and the virtuous soul rejoices in the worlds of the sages. From the kadamba tree, a stream descends, having emerged earlier, and as the sun rises in the east, it reveals blossoms of exquisite beauty. Those who witness this attain supreme perfection, again beyond any doubt. At Maṇipūra, five streams cascade down, each resting upon the sacred mountain. Those who dwell here delight in the heavenly realm for ten thousand years, but eventually, all heavens are relinquished and the soul journeys to the speaker’s world. Yet, those devoted to the speaker’s deeds alone are able to perceive these wonders; others remain unaware. A delightful sound is heard in this place, bringing joy to both mind and ear. For the sinful, this realm is difficult to attain, but for the virtuous, it is easily accessible. The flowers here blossom as the sun rises, and those who witness this attain supreme accomplishment on earth, without question. Throughout all worlds, the place where the speaker has sported is renowned, celebrated for its glory. Rows of multicolored stones adorn the landscape, and ten directions are marked by caves. Here, a man should perform ablutions after residing for six periods, purifying himself in preparation for departure from this life, established in the speaker’s deeds. Now, O noble lady, listen to the wonder being revealed. The leaves of all trees fall in great abundance, carpeting the earth. On the eastern side, a great tree shines beautifully, its glory spreading across five krośas. This tree is filled everywhere with fish and water, and its branches are abundant with fruits. Here, a man should perform ablutions after fasting eight times, further purifying his soul. And again, O noble lady, listen to the marvels of this place: at midday, the waters are full once more, and at midnight, they remain equal, never diminishing. On the western side stands the bilva tree, another great tree, revered and radiant. Only those who perform auspicious deeds can see these wonders; those who act with evil cannot perceive them. Whoever obtains a flower here, following the speaker’s sacred path, is truly blessed, embraced by the divine mysteries of this wondrous realm.
