Upon hearing their words, I spoke, inviting them to listen closely. “O Earth,” I said, “I have now revealed to you the cause behind the curse that befell the Vṛṣṇis and others.” Let me recount what unfolded in Dvārakā, that blessed city which brings joy to the devotees of Viṣṇu. There, departing from the seashore—whose waves had been a source of delight through my actions—he rose to the heights of heaven, surrounded by hosts of radiant Apsarases, reveling in celestial pleasures. Yet, leaving the realms of the gods, he was honored in my own domain. In that sacred place, there are many wondrous fruits, beautiful and shaped like jars, but none may obtain them except one who is devoted to the Bhāgavata. Only those established in my action attain the highest perfection; humans driven by passion and greed fail to perceive him. He rejoices across the seven continents and attains secret, hidden realms. Renouncing all attachments, he reaches my world. At Prabhāsa, as they listen, in the ocean—not towards the crocodile—if a man offers balls of food into clear waters, even if the intended recipients have not arrived, they receive the offering without doubt. The righteous indeed receive only the offering, this is certain. Even in deep and boundless waters, with only a span’s breadth, he delights in Indra’s realm, without doubt. Upon leaving Indra’s realm, he attains my world. Only the doer of good sees; the evil-doer does not. Here, silver and golden lotuses are seen, shining with certainty. Four streams flow, resting upon the Maṇipūra mountain. He delights in the Vaikhānasa worlds, this is certain. Yet, abandoning the Vaikhānasa worlds, he attains my world. Those things seen in the pools and upon Maṇipūra mountain—when sinners bathe, they do not fall as they did before. A single stream falls here, resting upon Maṇipūra mountain. One freed from attachment, O greatly fortunate one, delights in the abode of Varuṇa. Having abandoned Varuṇa’s realm, he is honored in my world. Pure-hearted humans see these wonders; those of sinful deeds do not. Here, swans are seen, radiant as moonlight and jasmine flowers. They attain supreme perfection on earth, without doubt. Where the pure-hearted Vṛṣṇis have indeed arrived at my abode, the virtuous soul delights in the worlds of the sages, this is certain. From the kadamba tree, a stream falls, having emerged earlier, and reveals flowers when the sun rises in the east. Thus, they attain supreme perfection, without doubt. Five streams fall here, resting upon Maṇipūra. He delights in the heavenly realm for ten thousand years. And, having abandoned all heavens, he finally goes to my world.
