By the radiance of their own wisdom, my devoted ones will cause my presence to shine forth in the world. As time moves on, remaining steadfast in actions dedicated to me, they will continue to uphold my glory. In return, I shall grant them boons, each according to the deepest wishes that reside in their hearts. Wherever Dharma stands firm, there the scripture of the Self is preserved and revered. By your grace, O Lord, may the world continue on the righteous path. There is no doubt in this, for all of you are dear to me. Therefore, these faithful ones will proclaim all that is cherished by the devotees of Bhagavān. Among all the sacred texts, the teaching of Varāha is honored as clarified butter—pure, nourishing, and essential. In this way, I have spoken, addressing you as I would my very own Self. This supreme and subtle knowledge is found among those who are truly devoted to the Earth. Now, O Vasundhara, listen as I tell you something further. Some cross the ocean of existence through knowledge, while others remain steadfast in their actions. There are those who, having tasted the power of yoga, perceive my constant presence. Some perform every duty, some are filled with many desires, and some are engaged in all manner of worldly affairs. Thus, O goddess, this great scripture is the means for liberation from worldly bondage. Accordingly, they will teach it—each in the way that pleases them. O Earth, people act thus according to the influence of the age. Yet, by my grace, all of them will attain the highest accomplishment in me. If there is any fault in my scripture, those who persist in such error will experience rebirth here. For those whose hearts are afflicted by envy, there is no higher world. But, O beloved, by following my path, one attains my supreme secret. Yet, those whose conduct is corrupted by envy fall downward. One who is joined with envy cannot see me anywhere. Whether they possess austerity and knowledge or are always engaged in action, if their hearts are clouded by illusion, they do not perceive me, O Earth. However, one who is devoted to my scripture and seeks the supreme goal will surely find me. This scripture, O highly fortunate one, has been set forth by me according to sacred order. Now, O noble one, listen to the wondrous account concerning my Bhūtagiri. Some say it is made of bronze, others claim it is of iron. Whether above or below, those who worship me, those who behold me established upon Maṇipūra mountain, they have tasted the virtues imparted by teachers and remain true to the path of my actions. In that sacred field, O noble one, my supreme secret abides. There, a person should bathe, observing the five prescribed times. Departing from life in that place, one fulfills the highest purpose. Bhṛgukuṇḍa is renowned here; in this place, too, my supreme secret is hidden. There, one should bathe, following my path. Where Dhruva stands, upon the summit of Meru amidst the rocky heights, there too, departing from life while steadfast in my path of action, one attains fulfillment. Maṇikuṇḍa is also famed in that region, and there lies my supreme secret. That profound heart, O blessed one, is difficult even for the gods themselves to attain.
