Listen, O noble one, to the wondrous blessings bestowed upon those who seek my supreme fields. A person who undertakes the Naramedha sacrifice here attains its full reward, and after enjoying its fruits, delights in my world. There exists a secret, exalted field of mine known as Śaṅkhaprabha. Within this field, the place called Gadākuṇḍa is especially celebrated. If a man bathes there after fasting for three nights, he departs this life accomplished and endowed with virtues. Again, there is another secret, supreme field of mine called Agniprabha. Whoever bathes there after fasting for four nights relinquishes his life at that sacred spot, established in my deeds. Hear further, O noble one, of another marvel. In my supreme field lies the secret place called Sarvāyudha. There, after fasting for seven nights and bathing, a man departs this life, resolved in my actions. If one fasts for eight nights before bathing, he leaves this world free from greed and delusion. There is also a secret place called Vidyādhara, my supreme field. Whoever bathes there after staying for a single night gives up life, devoid of passion and free from fatigue. Within my supreme, secret field flows a river called Puṇyanadī. After staying for eight nights, one should bathe there, and then he departs life following my desire. That field of mine is renowned as Gandharva. After staying for four nights and bathing, one gives up life, devoted to my actions. There is a place called Devahrada, my field upon earth. This lake is a bestower of boons: excellent, delightful, and pleasantly cool. In its great and blessed waters, sacred to me, wondrous things occur. Listen further, O Earth: only the faithful may see what unfolds here; the sinful remain blind to it. At sunrise, golden lotuses appear in the lake. Those who bathe there ascend to heaven, purified from all stains of speech and body. Such a one obtains the complete fruit of ten Aśvamedha sacrifices. Having enjoyed the reward of the horse sacrifice, he attains equality with me upon earth. The confluence of the divine rivers is beloved of all happiness. Gandharvas, Apsarases, serpent maidens together with the Nagas, Siddhas, and Kinnaras all descend from heaven to these places and especially to the sacred fords. Among them is Śvategaṅgā, which, united respectfully with Gaṇḍakī and Kṛṣṇā, and that which is born from the body of Kṛṣṇa, is known as Triśūlagaṅgā, the great river revered in these sacred realms.
