VmP 59.64

समस्तपापशुद्ध्यर्थं पुण्योपचयदं च यत्

That which is for the purification from all sins and brings the increase of merit,

VmP 59.65

असंशयं सदा जप्यो जपतां पुष्टिशान्तिदः

It is undoubtedly always to be recited; for those who recite, it brings strength and peace.

VmP 59.66

प्रणतो ऽस्मि जगन्नाथं स मे पापं व्यपोहतु

I bow to the Lord of the universe; may he remove my sin.

VmP 59.67

प्रणतो ऽस्मि परं देवं स मे पापं व्यपोहतु

I bow to the supreme god; may he remove my sin.

VmP 59.68

प्रणतो ऽस्मि पतिं लक्ष्म्याः स मे पापं व्यपोहतु

I bow to the consort of Lakshmi; may he remove my sin.

VmP 59.69

प्रणतो ऽस्मि स्तुतं स्तुत्यैः स मे पापं व्यपोहतु

I bow to him who is praised by the praiseworthy; may he remove my sin.

VmP 59.70

प्रणतो ऽस्मि धराधारं स मे पापं व्यपोहतु

I bow to the supporter of the earth; may he remove my sin.

VmP 59.71

प्रणतो ऽस्मि महाबाहुं स मे पापं व्यपोहतु

I bow to the mighty-armed one; may he remove my sin.

VmP 59.72

प्रणतो ऽस्मि श्रियः कान्तं स मे पापं व्यपोहतु

I bow to the beloved of Sri; may he remove my sin.

VmP 59.73

वासुदेवमनिर्देश्यं तमस्मि शरणं गतः

I have taken refuge in Vasudeva, who is indescribable.

VmP 59.74

ध्यायन्ति वासुदेवाख्यं तमस्मि शरणं गतः

I have taken refuge in him who is called Vasudeva, whom the meditative contemplate.

VmP 59.75

वासुदेवं परं ब्रह्म तमस्मि शरणं गतः

I have taken refuge in Vasudeva, the supreme Brahman.

VmP 59.76

कर्मक्षये ऽक्षयं देवं तमस्मि शरणं गतः

I have taken refuge in the imperishable god at the end of action.

VmP 59.77

न योगिनः प्राप्नुवन्ति तमस्मि शरणं गतः

I have taken refuge in him whom even yogis do not attain.

VmP 59.78

यः सृजत्यच्युतो देवस्तमस्मि शरणं गतः

I have taken refuge in that imperishable Lord who creates.

VmP 59.79

प्रभुः पुरातनो जज्ञे तमस्मि शरणं गतः

I have taken refuge in that ancient Master who was born.

VmP 59.80

स्रष्टृत्वे संस्थितं सृष्टौ प्रणतो ऽस्मि सनातनम्

I bow to the eternal one, established as the creator at the time of creation.

VmP 59.81

तमादिपुरुषं विष्णुं प्रमतो ऽस्मि जनार्दनम्

I bow to that primeval person, Viṣṇu, the destroyer of beings.

VmP 59.82

येन तं विष्णुमाद्येशं प्रणतो ऽस्मि जनार्दनम्

I bow to that Viṣṇu, the original Lord, the destroyer of beings.

VmP 59.83

तं यज्ञपुरुषं विष्णुं प्रणतो ऽस्मि सनातनम्

I bow to that eternal Viṣṇu, the person of sacrifice.

VmP 59.84

तमन्तपुरुषं रुद्रं प्रणतो ऽस्मि सनातनम्

I bow to that eternal Rudra, the inner person.

VmP 59.85

यो वै नृत्यति रुद्रात्मा प्रणतो ऽस्मि जनार्दनम्

I bow to that destroyer of beings, whose essence is Rudra, who indeed dances.

VmP 59.86

संभूता यस्य देवस्य सर्वगं तं नमाम्यहम्

I bow to that all-pervading Lord from whom all have arisen.

VmP 59.87

यस्यांशभूता देवस्य सर्वगं तं नतो ऽस्मयहम्

I bow to that all-pervading Lord, of whom all are portions.

VmP 59.88

एकांशभूता देवस्य सर्वगं तं नमाम्यहम्

I bow to that all-pervading Lord, of whom all are but a single portion.

VmP 59.89

यः सर्वमध्यगो ऽनन्तः सर्वगं तं नमाम्यहम्

I bow to that all-pervading infinite one who abides in the midst of all.

VmP 59.90

विष्णुरेवं तथा पापं ममाशेषं प्रणश्यतु

Thus, by Viṣṇu, may all my sins be destroyed.

VmP 59.91

यच्च ज्ञानपरिच्छेद्यं पापं नश्यतु मे तथा

And may the sin that is discerned by knowledge likewise perish for me.

VmP 59.92

अनेकजन्मकर्मोत्थं पापं नश्यतु मे तथा

And may the sin arising from actions over many births likewise perish for me.

VmP 59.93

संध्ययोश्च कृतं पापं कर्मणा मनसा गिरा

The sin committed at the junctions of the day, by deed, mind, or speech—
