In the sacred narrative, it is revealed that the removal of sin born from a curse can be obtained through heartfelt praise of Keśava. With firm devotion, one should praise him, for such sincere worship brings freedom from sin. When Hari is praised with devotion, he indeed removes all the sins of people. At that very moment, the glorious, self-controlled one journeyed to Śālagrāma, intent on practicing austerity. Devoted to divine rites, the night-wanderer engaged in austerities with unwavering dedication. Freed from all sin, he ultimately attained the world of Viṣṇu. The praise was properly uttered by Sarasvatī herself, who dwells in the mouth of the Brāhmaṇa. Whoever recites this sacred hymn will gain liberation from all sins. The hymn unfolds in reverent salutations: “O Vāsudeva, salutations to you; O multiformed one, I bow to you. O Śrīnivāsa, salutations to you; creator of all beings, salutations to you. O bearer of the steadfast banner, salutations; O bearer of the banner of truth, I bow to you. O bearer of the palm-banner, salutations; O bearer of the heavy banner, salutations. Salutations to Jayanta, to Vijaya, to Jayānanta, to Parājita. O one without beginning, beginning, end, or middle, I bow to you, beloved of the lotus-born. O Śubhañjaya, salutations; salutations to Dhanañjaya. Salutations to Hiraṇyagarbha; salutations to Padmagarbha. O Kālanābha, salutations; O Mahānābha, I bow to you. O abode of Dharma, abode of water, Śrīnivāsa, salutations. Salutations to you, O Lord of the army; repeated salutations to you, O Lord of time. O Hari, wearer of the forest garland, salutations; O bearer of the earth, salutations. O you of many cycles, of the great cycle, salutations; source of all creation, salutations. O dark-blue, red, and great dark-blue one, O Aniruddha, salutations. O one whose essence is space, O supreme spirit, O one whose essence is all beings, salutations. O one with munja grass hair, O master of the senses, O lord of all, may my mind be fixed on you. O wearer of white and yellow garments, O one clothed in blue, salutations. O Govinda, maker of delight, O swan, lover of yellow garments. Salutations to Vāmana; salutations to you, O slayer of Madhu. Salutations to you, O eye of righteousness; salutations, O great-eyed one. Salutations to you, O sacrificial boar; salutations, O one of great form. O universal form, salutations; from you, this universe has arisen. Salutations to you, O who is the branch, leaf, shoot, and sprout. From your navel arose the mid-space; the moon from your mind. From your sides, the twin gods were born; the Śūdras from your feet. From your navel arose the mid-space; the moon from your mind. From your anger, the three-eyed Rudra; from your head, the sky was produced. Plants arose from your hair; O Virāj, salutations. You are the syllable Om, the utterance vaṣaṭ, the invocation vauṣaṭ, and the offerings svadhā and sudhā. You are all forms and formlessness, the embodiment of the Vedas; I bow to you. You are the essence of all sacred waters and likewise the essence of all sacrifices. Salutations to you with a thousand streams, and salutations to you with a hundred streams.” Thus, through praise and devotion, the devotee is freed from all sin and attains the blessed realm of Viṣṇu, the infinite, the source of all creation, whose glory is sung by Sarasvatī and whose praise brings liberation.
