Then, at the end of the story, a certain sage named Lomasha—
Hearing this, King Nimi, O king, became extremely distressed.
Then he said to that learned Brahmin, 'There is a way, O best of twice-born.'
Lomaśa said: 'Compassion has arisen in me, O king, seeing you so deeply afflicted.'
Right here I shall bring forth things born on Jambūdvīpa.
O great king, bathe there where all have become one.
Having spoken thus, that sage among Brahmins entered into meditation with focused mind.
And for your assurance, O royal sage, a Jambū tree appeared.
With his body, he went to heaven after bathing at the holy place.
When the sun enters Kanyā, whoever performs śrāddha there—
Thus ends the sixtieth chapter, entitled 'The Glory of Jambū Tīrtha,' in the third Arbuda section of the seventh Prabhāsa division of the eighty-one-thousand-verse Skanda Purāṇa.
By whom the Gaṅgā was held, O king, as she fell from the sky—
Summoned by the god of gods, in the form of the Lord of the Mountain—
Whoever bathes there with concentration on the eighth day—
Thus ends the sixty-first chapter, entitled 'The Greatness of Gaṅgādhara Tīrtha,' in the third Arbuda section of the seventh Prabhāsa division of the eighty-one-thousand-verse Skanda Purāṇa.
Likewise, there is another Gaṅgeśvara, self-formed by Gaṅgā herself.
Long ago, there was a battle between Umā and Gaṅgā.
He who is worshipped by her, Śambhu, will quickly grant an audience.
Thus addressed, Gaṅgā at once came swiftly to that mountain.
There, seeing the beautiful encampment of Gaurī on the mountain—
Then, endowed with perfect faith and devotion, the great Lord Śiva was pleased.
Therefore, in this world, it will be known by the name Kaṭeśvara.
Any woman who, freed by her husband, is afflicted by the sorrow of a co-wife, yet blessed with sons and good fortune, and who holds her husband as dear as life—
—to her, as to Gaṅgā who worshipped the Lord, the god granted such a boon.
Especially for women, this removes the affliction caused by co-wives.
Thus ends the sixty-second chapter, entitled 'The Greatness of Kaṭeśvara and Gaṅgeśvara,' in the third section, Arbuda-khaṇḍa, of the seventh Prabhāsa-khaṇḍa, in the eighty-one-thousand-verse Skanda Mahāpurāṇa.
O King, the greatness of Arbuda is now told in summary.
Even if described in detail for hundreds of years, the accounts composed by the great sages should be taken up at every step.
There is no holy place, no accomplishment, no tree, O King—
—like those that dwell, O King, on the delightful Arbuda mountain.
