You, O king, have engaged in sinful conduct since childhood.
When you, best of kings, are consecrated at all the sacred waters,
The holy places such as Prabhāsa, which exist upon the earth,
Go to those difficult places in your mind, giving the highest charity, which people do not reach by bathing at sacred sites and such on earth, O king.

All those rescued said to him, 'Son, now we have been saved by you.'
And you yourself, O foremost of kings, by bathing and offering water,
This holy place will be called 'Kulasaṃtāraṇa,' for the deliverance of the lineage; come here in this body, by the power of this sacred site.
Then, ascending the celestial vehicle, he went to heaven together with them.
Such is the power, O royal sage, of Kulasaṃtāraṇa.
He went to heaven in his own body; this is a great wonder to me.
Where the king bathed, that place is of the highest, supreme merit.
Thus ends the forty-eighth chapter named 'The Description of the Glory of Kulasaṃtāraṇa Tīrtha,' in the third Arbuda section of the seventh Prabhāsa section, in the eighty-one-thousand verse Śrī Skanda Mahāpurāṇa.
There, for a mortal who bathes, the destruction of sin arises.
And the supreme satisfaction of the ancestors lasted until the dissolution of beings.
Before that, he performed austerities, desiring the destruction of his enemies.
After three hundred years had passed, the great god, pleased with his austerity,
then gave him the supreme weapon called Pāśupata.
And the Bull-bannered One, smiling, also spoke these words:
Endowed with this weapon, you will be unconquerable among all embodied beings.
This sacred water-reservoir is holy in the three worlds, with all their moving and unmoving beings.
Those who, with concentrated mind, perform śrāddha here on the full moon day,
will obtain the complete fruit of the ancestral rite.
Rāma too destroyed the kṣatriyas, afflicted by the sorrow of his father.

There, he joyfully satisfied the ancestors twenty-one times.
Seeing the wounds on his mother's body, the lord of men did so twenty-one times.
