Otherwise, my words would become false; therefore, go to him.
In the same way, my supreme friend, the second, is the monkey who remains.
The son of the wind, along with the son of Vali, together with his attendants.
Therefore, after speaking respectfully with all of them and consulting them,
Having thus reflected for a long time, and having summoned the Pushpaka,
Then, seeing the shining Pushpaka rising up,
They, having bowed from afar, touched the earth with their knees.
Then, joined with him, they crossed over from that foremost aerial car to the splendid house of Sugriva in the great city of Kishkindha.
There, seeing Rāma settled and resting, the monkeys gazed upon him.
He is exceedingly thin and deeply troubled—Is all well in your house?
Is your brother Lakṣmaṇa always by your side, as before, in body and spirit?
And is Sītā, who is as dear to you as life itself, well, O Lord?
With eyes filled with tears, he told them everything.
Then Sītā was abandoned, and likewise his brother Lakṣmaṇa.
Hearing this, all the monkeys, headed by Sugrīva, then—
After lamenting loudly for a long time, they spoke to the best of the Raghus.
Blessed are we upon the earth, O best of the Raghus, for whom you are present.
In the morning I will go to Laṅkā, where Vibhīṣaṇa resides.
You too, O best of monkeys, should come, accompanied by your chief ministers.
Honored by all those foremost monkeys with true devotion—
Then, at dawn, when the sun's disk had risen clear—
With Sugrīva, Suṣeṇa, Tārā, and also Kumuda,
With Gavākṣa, Nala, and likewise Jāmbavat,
Then, at the proper time, Rāghava set out toward Laṅkā.
He arrived at that very moment at the great city called Laṅkā.
Then Vibhīṣaṇa, seeing the radiant Puṣpaka rising, together with all his ministers, attendants, and sons—
Then, seeing Rāma at a great distance, Vibhīṣaṇa approached.
Having arrived, he embraced Vibhīṣaṇa with respect and affection.
Upon reaching Vibhīṣaṇa’s house, he sat upon the auspicious throne.
Then Vibhīṣaṇa reported everything to him.
