O Lord of the world, while I remain unsatisfied, for twelve years,
In this way, sacrifices will take place in due course, O mighty one.
By offering the stream of water from Vasudhāra, they will honor you day and night.
They will satisfy you with true devotion, and then you will obtain nourishment.
At the time of transition, for those who give the stream of water from Vasudhāra,
Whatever sin has been committed by them, knowingly or unknowingly,
Once satisfaction is attained in you, a king will arise thereafter.
He, endowed with faith, will perform a twelve-year sacrificial session, with the mouth of the vessel uninterrupted day and night.
Then, having attained supreme satisfaction, you will obtain the highest nourishment.
From today onward, whatever action occurs here, all of it will be supremely satisfying to you.
Even whatever Vaiśvadeva rites are performed by the twice-born,
Because of this, all ritual actions, including sacrifices, become complete.
Whoever, endowed with proper faith, offers the stream of ghee,
Thus ends the ninetieth chapter, entitled 'The Description of the Greatness of the Offering of Ghee,' in the section on Hāṭakeśvara Kṣetra, in the sixth book of the eighty-one-thousand-verse Śrī Skanda Mahāpurāṇa.
Having appeased the angry Fire, the best of twice-born themselves,
Then, together with all the gods, including Śakra, Viṣṇu, Śiva, and others,
Fire also, among the foremost twice-born, was established in the fire rituals.
Thus, there arose at that place the unsurpassed sacred site of Fire.
Then, seeing those gods departing towards their own hermitage,
For your sake, we were cursed by Fire, O lords of the gods.
There will be no doubt, especially, regarding the capacity for action.
Thus, you will reside in the palaces of kings.
And just as, O Śuka, your tongue was made dull by consuming oblations,
So too, by our favor, for others among the illustrious, your speech will become renowned, even for the long-tongued.
Having spoken thus, the gods then departed to their own abodes.
Thus ends the ninety-first chapter, entitled 'The Origin of the Agni Tirtha,' in the section on the greatness of the Hatakeshvara Kshetra, in the sixth book, in the eighty-one-thousand-verse Skanda Mahapurana.
Now, O twice-born ones, listen to the origin of the Brahma-kunda.
When Brahma was established there by the great-souled Markandeya,
And it was declared that, in the month of Kartika, when the Moon is in Krittika,
Whoever worships the god, the lotus-born, at that time,
