Known as Venu on earth, he was afflicted with the disease of leprosy.
He, abandoned by his own wives and oppressed by the enemy faction,

Having obtained Mādhavī, his sister, when another birth had come,

Then all the Yādavas, having performed rites of appeasement and nourishment,
Thus, she, endowed with youth, was likewise afflicted with suffering.
Then, Lord Vishnu, perceiving his sister in that condition,
He swiftly took her, accompanied by Baladeva,

And, devoted to sacrifice, he properly gratified Brahma.
