Pulastya said: By merely bathing, that brāhmaṇa obtained a divine form.
On that day, O best of kings, one should perform bathing there.

Pulastya said: Thereafter, O best of kings, one should proceed to the unsurpassed Yama Tīrtha.
Long ago, there was a king named Citrāṅgada, exceedingly greedy.
He was extremely cruel and wicked, a tormentor of gods and brāhmaṇas.
Devoid of truth and purity, he was filled with deceit and jealousy.
From wandering, he became exhausted, overwhelmed by hunger and thirst.
It was filled with lotuses, and teeming with crocodiles, alligators, and fish.
Tormented by thirst, he entered that very reservoir of water.
For his sake, terrible hells were created by Yama.
By his touch, all those dwelling in hell attained happiness; astonished, they described the arising of happiness among the inhabitants of hell.
Then Vaivasvata (Yama) said: 'On earth, there is Arbuda mountain.'
There, he met his death; let the reason for this be declared here. Seized by a crocodile there, that lowest of kings met his end.
Yama said: 'Let him be released at once, and let not others be brought here.'
Then, by Yama's command, he was released by those attendants, O best of kings.
But whoever, endowed with devotion, performs bathing there—
Therefore, with all effort, one should perform bathing there.
There, a man should properly perform the rite of śrāddha.

The sacred place of Varāha, beloved of Hari, always bestows the comfort of residence.
There, in the form of Varāha, the earth was lifted up.
I too shall go, with my mind, to the auspicious Vaikuṇṭha again.
With this very form, O Hari, remain always at this sacred place.
I shall remain here, as you have said, always devoted to the welfare of the world.
In front of me is a holy lake, endowed with very pure waters.
There, by bathing with devotion, a man is freed from the sin of killing a Brāhmaṇa.
The ancestors are satisfied there until the dissolution of creation.
On that day, O best of kings, one should bathe and undertake a vow.
He who, intent on devotion, performs libations and the offering of balls of food—
