Just as oil is present in sesame seeds and ghee in curds, so too is the entire world pervaded and protected by you, though hidden.
You are Brahmā, you are Hṛṣīkeśa, you are Śakra, you are the fire-god; you are the sacrifice, the vaṣaṭ-call, the moon, and the sun.
But what is the use of many words of praise for you, O Lord? I will briefly declare your glory as revealed in the scriptures.
Whatever exists in the three worlds, whether unmoving or moving, O Lord, all that is pervaded by you, just as wood is pervaded by fire.
The Blessed Lord said: I am pleased with you—may good be yours! Ask for a boon, O noble sage; whatever is always in your heart, I will surely grant.
Viśvāmitra said: If you are pleased, O Lord of gods, and a boon is to be granted to me, then may I obtain, by your grace, the greatness of creation, O great Lord.
Saying 'So be it,' the Lord, the bull-bannered one, surrounded by all his attendants, then became invisible.
Viśvāmitra, remaining there, devoted to meditation, created a fourfold creation in rivalry with the one who moves with swans.
He created the two twilights, and even today, O twice-born, they are seen.
Then all the hosts of gods were created by that great soul.
Among men, serpents, and demons, there are herbs joined with trees.
Thus, indeed, the blessed and wrathful Viśvāmitra created (all this).
At that very time, O twice-born, two suns appeared simultaneously in the sky, and their rays were doubled, together with the Seven Sages.
In this way, all of them in the sky contended with one another.
Meanwhile, Indra, along with all the denizens of heaven, approached, bowed deeply, and with joined palms spoke aloud.
O best of gods, this creation has now been made by Viśvāmitra.
Therefore, go yourself, O Grandfather, and restrain him; having heard these words, the Creator went together with him.
O best of sages, now cease your creation at my command.
If your creation enters the worlds, I will not make my own creation.
With this very body, by your grace, O lord of sages, bring your creation to an end; no one else will do this.
Thus, by your favor, O god, may my creation be imperishable.
But among all actions, none shall be worthy of sacrifice.
Having thus spoken, the Grandfather took Triśaṃku.
Thus ends the seventh chapter, called 'The Description of Triśaṃku's Attainment of Heaven,' in the section on the greatness of the Hāṭakeśvara field, in the Triśaṃku story, in the sixth book, in the eighty-one-thousand-verse Skanda Mahāpurāṇa.
By the effort of Viśvāmitra, O best of twice-born, (Triśaṃku) ascended with his body.
That holy place has become renowned throughout the three worlds.
It is untouched by the fault of the Kali age and by other great sins.
Whoever gives up their life there with a mind full of faith—
All the creatures such as worms, birds, insects, animals, and deer,
who bathe there with minds purified by faith,
