यद्यद्धितं स्वस्य सदैव तत्तल्लिंगेत्र देयं मम भक्तिमद्भिः
Whatever is always beneficial for oneself, that should be offered to my linga here by the devoted.
दूरस्थितैरप्यधिबुद्धिभिर्यैर्लिंगं समाराधि ममेदमत्र
Even those who are far away, with focused intellect, who worship my linga here—
शृणुष्व विष्णो शृणु सृष्टिकर्तः शृण्वंतु देवर्षिगणाः समस्ताः
Listen, O Vishnu; listen, O Creator; let all the assemblies of divine sages listen.
अस्मिन्हि लिंगेऽखिलसिद्धिसाधने समर्पितं यैः सुकृतार्जितं वसु 4.2.99.
In this linga, which accomplishes all attainments, whatever wealth is offered, earned by good deeds—
उत्क्षिप्य बाहुं त्वसकृद्ब्रवीमि त्रयीमयेऽस्मिंस्त्रयमेव सारम्
Raising my arm, I declare repeatedly: in this place filled with the three Vedas, only the essence of the three is present.
उत्थाय देवोथ स शक्तिरीशस्तस्मिन्हि लिंगे कृतचारुपूजः
The god arose, and the power of the Lord, having performed beautiful worship at this linga—
स्कंद उवाच क्षेत्रस्य मैत्रावरुणे विमुक्तस्य महामते
Skanda said: O wise one, in the field of Maitrāvaruṇa, which is liberated—
तवाग्रे तु यथाबुद्धि काशीविश्लेषतापि नः
Before you, according to understanding, even the separation from Kashi is ours.
अस्ताचलस्य शिखरं प्राप्तवानेष भानुमान्
The sun has reached the peak of the western mountain.
प्रणम्यौ मेयमसकृल्लोपामुद्रा समन्वितः
I bow repeatedly to Lopamudra, accompanied by her.
रहस्यं परिविज्ञाय क्षेत्रस्य शशिमौलिनः
Having fully understood the secret of the field of the moon-crested Lord,
आनंदकाननस्येह महिमानं महत्तरम्
here the supreme greatness of Ānandakānana is proclaimed.
यथा देव्यै समाख्यायि शिवेन परमात्मना
As it was declared to the Goddess by Śiva, the Supreme Self,
तवाग्रे च समाख्यातं शुकादीनां च सत्तम 4.2.99.
so too it has been related before you and to the noble ones like Śuka.
श्रुत्वाध्यायमिमं पुण्यं सर्वकल्मषनाशनम्
Hearing this sacred chapter, which destroys all sins,
इति श्रीस्कांदे महापुराण एकाशीति साहस्र्यां संहितायां चतुर्थे काशीखंड उत्तरार्धे विश्वेश्वरलिंगमहिमाख्यो नाम नवनवतितमोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the ninety-ninth chapter, called 'The Greatness of the Viśveśvara Liṅga,' in the fourth Kāśī Section, in the second half of the Skanda Mahāpurāṇa, which contains eighty-one thousand verses.
नितरां परितृप्तोस्मि हृदि चापि विधारितम्
I am completely satisfied, and it is established in my heart.
अनुक्रमणिकाध्यायं तथा माहात्म्यमुत्तमम्

तीर्थप्रशंसा च ततः सप्तपुर्यस्ततः स्मृताः

Then the attainment of the worlds by Indra and Agni, and the story of Śivaśarman.
गंधवत्यलकापुर्योरीशयोस्तु समुद्भवः
The origin of the rulers of Gandhavatī and Alakā cities.
उडुलोक कथा तस्मात्ततः शुक्रसमुद्भवः 4.2.100.
After that, the story of the lunar world, and then the origin of Śukra.
सप्तर्षीणां ततो लोका ध्रुवस्य च तपस्ततः
Then the worlds of the Seven Sages, and after that the austerity of Dhruva.
दर्शनं सत्यलोकस्य तस्य वै शिवशर्मणः
The vision of Satyaloka by Śivaśarman.
स्कंदागस्त्योश्च संवादो मणिकर्ण्याः समुद्भवः
The dialogue between Skanda and Agastya, and the origin of Maṇikarṇikā.
प्रभावश्चापि गंगाया गंगानामसहस्रकम्
Also, the power of the Gaṅgā and the thousand names of Gaṅgā.
