Having seen Trivishtapa even once and bathed in the Pailipila lake,
Every month, on the eighth and fourteenth days, O beautiful one,
Having bathed to the south of Trivishtapa in the waters of Pailipila,
There itself is a well called 'Pādodaka,' destroyer of sins.
Beside that liṅga, there are many other liṅgas.
There, the Śāṃtanava liṅga is established on the bank of the Gaṅgā.
To its south, O sage, is the great liṅga called Bhīṣmeśa.
To its west is the great liṅga known as Droṇeśa.
In front of that, the liṅga of Aśvatthāmeśvara is found, bestowing great merit.
From Droṇeśa, in the direction of the wind, is the supreme Vālakhilyeśvara.
To its left, upon seeing the liṅga, it is called Vālmīkeśvara.
And now, Ghaṭodbhava, I will tell you what else happened here.
There was once a legend here, at the seat called Viraja.
In the temple of the Three-Eyed One, built of gems and jewels.
Sometimes, at the end of an age, the heavenly world falls in destruction.
With flags raised high by Maruttaraṅgita.
Adorned with a shining golden vessel.
There, a pair of pigeons freely dwells, having made their home.
Flying about everywhere, stirred by the wind of their wings.
The name 'Trilocaneti' is always spoken by devotees.
Four kinds of musical instruments, pleasing to Śaṃbhu, are played.
Auspicious lamps, offerings, and the threefold daily worship are performed for those two birds.
Even abandoning the sustenance of life, at times, with a steady mind,
There, O sage, a temple surrounded by devotees on every side,
On the southern side of the temple, a four-streamed water flows,
As the two wandered thus, near the Three-Eyed One,
Then, upon the temple's shoulder, the two entered through a window,
That pair of pigeons, the hawk sought to seize,
Then he observed their entry and exit,
By which path did they depart, at what time, and what did they do,
