एकोऽजरद्गवः सोपि नान्यस्मात्परिजीवति
Even the single ageless bull lives by none other than us.
सर्वे विभूतिधवला सर्वेप्येक कपर्द्दिनः
All their wealth is pale, and all have but a single matted lock.
तेषां गणानां किं कुर्मो दरिद्राणां वयं विभो
What can we do for those hosts, O Lord, who are destitute?
नागा वराकाश्चास्माकं सायंसायं स्वयं प्रभो
The serpents among us, O Lord, are wretched, evening after evening.
कल्पद्रुमः कामगवी चिंतामणिगणा बहु 4.2.71.
The wish-fulfilling tree, the cow of plenty, and countless cintāmaṇi gems—
वायुर्व्यजनतां यातस्त्वां सेवेत प्रयत्नतः
The wind would become a fan, serving you with devotion.
वासांसि क्षालयेदग्निश्चंद्रश्छत्रधरः स्वयम्
Fire would wash your garments, and the moon himself would hold your parasol.
कस्त्वत्प्रसादं नेक्षेत मर्त्यामर्त्योरगेषु च
Who would not seek your favor, among mortals, immortals, and serpents?
पश्य नः पौरुषं राजन्नानयामो बलादिमाम्
Behold our strength, O King; let us bring forth this force.
संवर्तकालमासाद्य प्लावितुं जगतीमिमाम्
When the time of dissolution arrives, it will flood this world.
रोमांचिता यच्छ्रवणात्कातरा अप्यकातराः
Their hairs stand on end from hearing this; even the fearless become fearful.
क्षुब्धा अंबुधयः सर्वे पेतुर्नक्षत्रमालिकाः
All the oceans are agitated; the garlands of stars have fallen.
ततो भगवती देवी स्वशरीरसमुद्भवाः
Then the divine Goddess, arising from her own body,
ताभिः शक्तिभिरेतेषां बलिनां दितिजन्मनाम्
With those powers, she subdued the mighty offspring of Diti.
शस्त्रास्त्राणि महादैत्यैर्यान्युत्सृष्टानि संगरे 4.2.71.
The weapons and missiles released by the great demons in battle,
स च बाणस्तया देव्या निज बाणैर्महाजवैः 4.2.71.
And that arrow, by the Goddess, with her own swift arrows,
तावञ्जगज्जनन्याताः प्रेरिता निज शक्तयः
Those powers, sent forth by the Mother of the world,
पार्वतीहृदयानंद स्कंद सर्वज्ञनंदन
Skanda, delight of Parvati's heart, joy of all-knowing wisdom,
आख्याम्याख्यां शृणु मुने कुंभसंभव तत्त्वतः
I shall declare, O sage born of a pot, listen to the account in truth.
त्रैलोक्यविजया तारा क्षमा त्रैलोक्यसुंदरी
Tara, victorious in the three worlds; Kshama, the beauty of the three worlds.
कामाख्या कमलाक्षी च धृतिस्त्रिपुरतापनी ।। जया जयंती विजया जलेशी चापराजिता

शंखिनी गजवक्त्रा च महिषघ्नी रणप्रिया
Shankhini, Gajavaktra, Mahishaghni, lover of battle.
त्रिनेत्रा च त्रिवक्त्रा च त्रिपदा सर्वमंगला
Three-eyed, three-faced, three-footed, source of all auspiciousness.
सिद्धिर्बुद्धिः स्वधा स्वाहा महानिद्रा शराशना
Siddhi, Buddhi, Svadha, Svaha, Mahānidrā, Sharāshana.
मयूरवदना काकी शुकी भासी गरुत्मती
Mayuravadana, Kaki, Shuki, Bhasi, Garutmati.
अक्षरा त्र्यक्षरा तंतुः प्रणवेशी स्वरात्मिका

The attainment of mantra, the attainment of austerity, the attainment of yoga, and the supreme nectar.
स्तंभनी मोहनीमाया बहुमाया बलोत्कटा
She who causes paralysis, delusion, illusion, manifold illusions, and fierce strength.
क्षेमकरी सिद्धिकरी छिन्नमस्ता शुभानना
She who brings welfare, grants accomplishments, is Chinnamasta, and has an auspicious face.
वार्ताली जंभली क्लिन्ना अश्वारूढा सुरेश्वरी
Vartali, Jambhali, Klinnā, Ashvārūḍhā, and the sovereign of the gods.
