There, seeing that auspicious liṅga, born of all jewels—
The god of gods, lord of the universe, the giver of fearlessness to all devotees—
Whose sky is filled with blazing flames, whose radiance illumines all directions.
By merely beholding him, the mind becomes exceedingly joyful.
This is the true form of the liṅga, the supreme source of all brilliance.
By your father, Himavat, the king of mountains, O beautiful one,
Here, those jewels were gathered together by Himādri.
Whatever is offered with faith, for your sake or for the sake of the left side,
The liṅga known as Ratneśvara is indeed my very own form.
Among all the liṅgas here, this is the highest, being made of jewels.
By this very gold, amassed by your father,
By constructing the liṅga's temple, with its sections refined and perfected,
Saying 'So be it' to the Goddess, the Gaṇas began building the temple.
And by the Gaṇas, a golden temple was fashioned, adorned with various wonders.
The Goddess, her face radiant, beheld the construction of the temple.
Again, the Goddess inquired, preceded by respectful salutation.
Now this has manifested due to the merit and honor of your father.
This is the supreme secret among secrets, granting fulfillment in this sacred place.
Just as a jewel hidden in a house is not known by others,
Whatever liṅgas exist here within the cosmic egg, O Pārvatī,
O Gauri, even by inadvertence, those who have worshipped the liṅga of Ratneśa—
All the objects in the three worlds that are of the nature of jewels—
Those who will worship the liṅga of Ratneśa without desire—
The fruit that is declared to arise from reciting Rudra a crore of times—
I shall tell you what occurred regarding the liṅga, which is perfect from beginningless time.
Once, here, there was a certain dancer, skilled in the art of dance.
She danced through the night, and sang a graceful song.
By pleasing with that performance of music and dance, that actress—
That excellent dancer, overcome by the law of time, met her end there.
Because of the merit from that music, instrumental performance, and dance—
