प्रह्लादतीर्थं तस्याग्रे यत्र प्रह्लादकेशवः
In front of that is Prahlāda Tīrtha, where Prahlāda Keśava is found.
आंबरीषमहातीर्थमघघ्नं तस्य सन्निधौ
Nearby is the great tīrtha of Ambarīṣa, the destroyer of sin.
आदित्यकेशवः पूज्य आदिकेशव पूर्वतः ।। 4.2.58.
Āditya Keśava is to be worshipped there, and Ādikeśava is to the east.
दत्तात्रेयेश्वरं तीर्थं तत्रैवादिगदाधरः
There too is the tīrtha of Dattātreyeśvara, and Adigadādhara is present.
भृगुकेशवपूर्वेण तीर्थं वै भार्गवं परम्
To the east of Bhṛgu Keśava is the supreme Bhārgava tīrtha.
तत्र वामनतीर्थं च प्राच्यां वामनकेशवात्
There also is Vāmana tīrtha to the east of Vāmana Keśava.
नरनारायणं तीर्थं नरनारायणात्पुरः
The tīrtha of Nara-Nārāyaṇa is situated before Nara-Nārāyaṇa.
यज्ञवाराह तीर्थं च तदग्रे पापनाशनम्
In front of that is the Yajña-Vārāha tīrtha, which destroys sins.
विदारनारसिंहाख्यं तत्र तीर्थं सुनिर्मलम्
There is the tīrtha called Vidāra-Narasiṃha, which is very pure.
गोपिगोविंद तीर्थं च गोपिगोविंदपूर्वतः
There is also the Gopī-Govinda tīrtha, to the east of Gopī-Govinda.
तीर्थं लक्ष्मीनृसिंहाख्यं गोपिगोविंद दक्षिणे
To the south of Gopī-Govinda is the tīrtha named Lakṣmī-Nṛsiṃha.
तदग्रे शेषतीर्थं च शेषमाधवसन्निधौ
In front of that is Śeṣa tīrtha, near Śeṣa Mādhava.
शंखमाधवतीर्थं च तदवाच्यां सुनिर्मलम् 4.2.58.
There is also the pure Śaṅkha Mādhava tīrtha, to the northwest.
तदग्रे च हयग्रीवं तीर्थं परमपावनम्
In front of that is the tīrtha of Hayagrīva, supremely purifying.
पिंडं च तत्र निर्वाप्य हयग्रीवस्य सन्निधौ हायग्रीवीं श्रियं प्राप्य समुच्येत सपूर्वजः
There, after offering piṇḍa in the presence of Hayagrīva, one attains the fortune of Hayagrīva and is liberated along with one's ancestors.
भूमौ तिलांतरायां यत्तत्र तीर्थान्यनेशः
On the earth, in the region between the sesame fields, there are other countless tīrthas.
उद्दिष्टानां तु तीर्थानामेतेषां कलशोद्भव इदानीं प्रस्तुतं विप्र शृणु वक्ष्यामि तेग्रतः
Of these tīrthas that have been mentioned, these arise from the water-pot; now, O brāhmaṇa, listen as I explain them to you in order.
तस्यां मूर्तौ समावेश्य कैशव्यामथ केशवः
Then Keśava, having entered that image, took on the form of Kaiśavyā.
क्व निर्गतं च हरिणा प्राप्य काशीं षडानन
Where did it go, and how did Hari reach Kāśī, O Six-faced One?
ब्रुवे तत्कारणमिति क्षणमात्रं निशामय
I shall tell you the reason for this; listen for just a moment.
संप्राप्य पुण्यसंभारैः प्राज्ञो वाराणसीं पुरीम्
Having attained the city of Vārāṇasī through the accumulation of merit, the wise one arrived.
अतः प्रतिकृतिः स्वीया तत्र काश्यां मुरारिणा 4.2.58.
Therefore, his own likeness was established there in Kāśī by Murāri.
किंचित्काश्या उदीच्यां च गत्वा देवेन चक्रिणा
Having gone somewhat north of Kāśī, by the god who bears the discus,
ततस्तु सौगतं रूपं शिश्राय श्रीपतिः स्वयम्
Then the Lord of Fortune himself assumed the form of a Buddhist.
श्रीः परिव्राजिका जाता नितरां सुभगाकृतिः
Śrī became a wandering ascetic, exceedingly beautiful in form.
विश्वयोनिं जगद्धात्रीं न्यस्तहस्ताग्रपुस्तकाम्
She, the womb of the universe and sustainer of the world, holding a book at the tip of her hand.
अत्यद्भुत महाप्राज्ञो निःस्पृहः सर्ववस्तुषु
The supremely wise one, utterly unattached to all things, was most wondrous.
अपृच्छत्परमं धर्मं संसारविनिमोचकम्
He asked about the supreme dharma, which liberates from the cycle of existence.
धर्मार्थशास्त्रकुशलं ज्ञानविज्ञानशालिनम्
Skilled in the treatises of dharma and artha, endowed with knowledge and wisdom.
स्तंभनोच्चाटनाकृष्टि वशीकर्मादिकोविदम्
Expert in the arts of immobilization, expulsion, attraction, and enchantment.
