At the time of the great dissolution, when all that is moving and unmoving is destroyed,
When there is no moon, no mind, no day or night, no fire, no wind, and no earth,
Devoid of seer and the seen, and free from sound and touch,
Thus, in that unbroken, impenetrable darkness of truth,
It is beyond the reach of mind and never an object of speech in any way.
It is free from shortness and length, from lightness and heaviness.
Yet, the scripture again hesitantly declares that 'it exists.'
It is immeasurable, without support, changeless, and formless.
It is without distinction, without beginning, without illusion, and without disturbance.
For that One, as it moved alone, a second desire is said to have arisen.
Endowed with all lordly qualities, composed of all knowledge, and auspicious,
Worthy of worship by all, the first of all, always, and the source of all creation,
That supreme, all-pervading, imperishable Brahman disappeared within.
That which is called the supreme, formless one—O beloved, I am its form.
Then, at that time, even in a single moment, as I wandered freely,
I beheld the Pradhāna, the primordial Nature, and you, the supreme Māyā endowed with qualities.
And simultaneously, by your power together with the form of Time,
That power is called Prakṛti; that Supreme Lord is the Puruṣa.
Of the two forms of supreme bliss, she is the embodiment of supreme bliss.
O sage, even at the time of dissolution, that field is never destroyed.
When there is neither the circle of earth nor the arising of waters,
This is the secret of the field—no one knows it, O Kumbhaja.
Only to one who is faithful, humble, and endowed with the vision of knowledge of the three times—
From then on, this field is called Avimukta.
(paryaṅka) The deluded imagine its non-existence when it comes to those two, Śiva and Śivā.
Without worshipping the great Lord and without attaining Kāśī,
This was formerly made by Pinākin and is called Ānandavana.
Because from the seeds of bliss, the sprouts arise there,
Thus, O Ghaṭodbhava, it became known as Avimukta.
Before Ānandavana, there, as Śiva and Śivā delighted,
